Courtyard by Marriott Gettysburg

Location was great. Price was reasonable. The room was not clean.

Very clean and comfortable. Parking was quite a distance from front door. Outdoor lighting could have been better. Everything else very good

Staff not trained properly

I booked 2 king rooms. The hotel was not full. One of the rooms given to me was a handicapped room. Absolutely not what I wanted but we were all very tired after driving for 9 hours. The front desk couldn’t accept credit cards due to some technical issue. I didn’t want to cause a scene but definitely disappointed- especially if a handicapped individual came and needed this room. Very poor attention to details.

This is a very convenient location, and the diner next door had good breakfasts. The room itself was fine, however in our king size bedroom, we couldn't watch TV in bed. Our hairdryer was in its last leg in working, and we needed to change out the fridge as it froze anything we put in there, including our liquid medication. The woman who worked at the Bristol in the evening was excellent! She was very helpful and also recommended some different options for places to visit later on.

Great location.

Clean, comfortable hotel with plenty of space in our room. Comfy bed and pillows. Easy check-in and check-out which was convenient. Not far from town and park areas. Helpful and courteous staff. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Breakfast was not included in my rate. But I came to see the Gettysburg museum and historic battlegrounds. And there are lots of other options close to the hotel.

I really liked the room and the quiet around. Nothing much to criticize.

Front desk not particularly helpful or friendly in most interactions: for instance I waited at least 5 minutes while one front desk staff explained something to another, then picked up the phone to take a call while I waited for assistance. Had to wait for a cart on leaving as none were available, although there was one with about 4 boxes at the side of the front desk that the staff should have unloaded and offered for use. Refrigerator in room tilted every time opened - seemed like it was like this for awhile. Pillows not comfortable, beds below average in comfort compared to other Marriott hotels. Not one of our best experiences in otherwise above average Courtyards that we have stayed in
