Pal's on the Beach - A Gold Standard Hotel

Good location as you can walk to the docs to get your boat to the cayes. As of June 2021, there are a couple places nearby to eat dinner. The room was basic but had AC, TV, fridge, and wifi. Upstairs rooms have a nice view and balcony. The owner was very helpful in general and made sure there was a taxi waiting for us at the airstrip. There isn’t much to do in Dangriga but we found the locals to be very nice and helpful and I’m glad we spent a night there. We couldn’t find a breakfast place but there’s a grocery store across the street from the Riverside Cafe.

We stayed at Pals on the Beach for 12 nights. This is not an American chain style beachfront tourist resort with North American amenities. However, it was just what we were looking for, had everything we needed, and we will return here without hesitation. The owner was reachable by cell phone, or in the nearby office if needed. The property is fenced with a gate so vehicles are in the compound at night with night security patrolling. The property and rooms are clean. Our room had a bar fridge, dressers, a comfortable bed, cable TV, WIFI, air conditioning, a fan, and a washroom with shower. Fresh towels are provided daily. In our room, there was a small private balcony that looked out over the Caribbean Sea. The beach is raked every day. Pals on the Beach provided us with a good base for our time in Dangriga and our travels around the country to visit friends There are a number of local restaurants in the area with traditional Belizean food or Chinese food. We are looking forward to next year.

We used Pal's for our launching point to do a nice kayak-camping trip. Owner was very friendly & went out of his way to help us! It's right on the beach. It's walking distance to the main part of the small city.

We arrived to Dangriga after a very long flight and the staff at PAL'S made us feel right at home. We stayed for 5 wonderful and relaxing days. The rooms were very comfortable. We had the pleasure of eating some of the very best seafood ever. We met many locals and made many new friends. We will be coming back to PAL'S again. The chef at PAL'S deserves a Michelin star.

Book somewhere else!!! We couldn't even check in. Arrived in dangriga around 4pm extremely tired after a sailing trip , tried to check in, there was no reception at the hotel, no person around to check us in. A lovely lady across the street called the owner who advised he was at a town competition and didn't know what time he would be available to check us in nor did he care we were essentially expected to sit outside and wait. It was already getting late and we wouldn't just sit outside the hotel waiting until dark so we had to book elsewhere. Unprofessional to say the least

Spent one night on a straight box spring with sheets......$90 bzd. I suppose in relative terms, it's about what you could get in north america. Everything else was fine. A mattress would help up the VALUE portion at least!

It was a very nice very clean stay. The view of the water we had was beautiful the time of year was beautiful rainy season but very very hot seemingly dry. This place is not overly comfortable the beds were okay but you have to understand in a foreign land you're not going to be in the lap of luxury like America. I went the end of September and the sand flies and mosquitoes ate me alive. Bring lots of Deep Woods Off bug spray. There are no meals offered here with a room but it was comfortable. The hot water I never did figure out how to turn on. They changed the bed every morning and I slept in clean sheets every night. Air conditioner worked okay. All in all a comfortable nice place. But it's not without risk as dangriga is a somewhat dangerous place after Dark

Our team spent six nights at Pal's Guest House! The location is right on the beach in Dangriga, Belize. The place could use some serious upgrading. The beds were fair to uncomfortable. The rooms were small without a place to hang up clothes. The bathroom was shared at the end of the hallway. Be careful about choosing this one!

The food was good and we felt very safe with security and friendly, caring staff. They served a large number of people dinner with great efficiency. The rooms were clean and air conditioned. It’s located right ont he beach with a lovely view.

Low cost, low amenities, high enjoyment. Clean and simple. Don’t go if you seek splendor. Go if you seek joy. Sits right on beach in Dangriga in the south of Belize. One hour drive from Hopkins village. Also only an hour bus ride to the capital city of Belmopan.
