Constance Prince Maurice

It was perfect. We visited for our honeymoon and it was very special. Beautiful hotel and the staff were wonderful. Special shoutout to Sundeep who was lovely (and made a great aperol spritz)!

Emplacement incroyable isolé de tout/ sentiment de sérénité et de calme. Le spot est magnifique, l hotel propose des activités nautique c vraiment tres agréable, on a pris une suite pilotis l expérience était unique et exceptionnel. La plage pas bco de monde et c est la sensation d etre tout seul dans l'île. Restaurant barachois est exceptionnel service incroyable et d une grande qualite surtout le personnel de la grande piscine.. d une gentillesse jamais vue.

Tout d abord on n a pas eu de chances on a eu droit a de fortes pluies, le petit dejeuner était tres moyen et pas du tt au niveau d un 5 * , les prix de la carte de consommation sont excessivement élevés ex un verre de vin 14 € / un verre de coca 10 € ... une partie de l hotel est en travaux cela dérange au bord de.la.plage et a cote se la piscine.

The property had beautiful grounds yet still felt intimate. The staff were exceptional. The facilities were amazing and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained.

I wouldn’t say we ‘didn’t like’ but some notes for improvements. The rooms - the suites with an upstairs were loud and not well insulated. We were sleeping downstairs and could hear a baby wake up everyday at 5am as well as feet walking back and forth, furniture shifting and a door closing. The dress code - while I appreciate a chic approach, specifying beach sandals not allowed implies a flip flop or a Birkenstock. My husband had elegant leather sandals that were problematic and told he wording be allowed in the restaurant the day after. Yet Nike trainers was ok because it was a closed shoe. Considering it to be a remote location people bring what they do. If this is the case I’d change the dress code policy to specify closed shoes only or no sandals to not cause confusion. The food - Considering most people dine at hotel for dinner, and we chose Constance for the reason that we’d be guaranteed excellent food I felt it didn’t match with other Constance’s I’ve stayed in before. Breakfast was average and the croissants were very dry. Archipel and the Asian were ok. The food by the pool was decent but Barachois was the winner with excellent ambience, food and service. So I think a hotel of this standard and with people eating in most nights there needs to have more than one excellent restaurant.

The food and the service was incredible. The hotel itself is beautiful with lovely pool areas and facilities. It felt really intimate and relaxing during our stay, with plenty of space for guests.

While the hotel was amazing, the location for us was a little out of the way. We knew this before booking so we chose to stay in another hotel in the South West after our stay where there were activities close by. The beach is more of a lagoon and becomes very shallow, again we were aware of this before booking.

Die Lage in einer Lagune. Keine freie Sicht, kein Schnorcheln möglich. Essen und Getränke extrem teuer, dass können andere 5 Sterne Häuser auf Mauritius besser!

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of food choices. The chef at the live egg station was outstanding. The outdoor surroundings were beautiful with a large territory that allowed for peaceful walks and plenty of privacy.

The A/C at our room seemed old and was quite noisy.
