0 Star!!! I stayed at The St. Regis San Francisco and had an awful experience due to extreme noise issues. The room had constant mechanical noises throughout the night, and the electric blinds made a loud, grinding sound every time they moved — it was impossible to sleep. I have video proof showing how disruptive the noise was, even in the middle of the night. For a hotel claiming to be five-star, this is completely unacceptable. Even worse, when I brought up these issues, management showed no genuine concern. May Maglanoc-Lee, who claimed to be the assistant front office director, was dismissive, defensive, and failed to provide any meaningful help. Instead of offering real solutions, she made excuses and acted like these problems weren’t serious. If you’re expecting peace, comfort, and professional service — look elsewhere. This property does not deserve the St. Regis name, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I’m shocked and disappointed by my recent stay at The St. Regis San Francisco. As someone who trusted the Marriott brand for years, this experience was beyond unacceptable — in both service and facility quality. First, I was promised a high-floor room (20th floor) but was instead given a room on the 18th floor without explanation. Only after I complained about a strong odor was I moved. Even then, the new room was extremely noisy all night, with mechanical sounds and loud electric blinds like a jet engine — I couldn’t sleep for two nights. The room was not clean by any five-star standard. I found mold in the bathroom, water stains on the walls, rusty and stained bathroom hardware, dirty flooring, and worst of all — the mattress itself was visibly moldy and filthy. Absolutely appalling. Even basic amenities were missing. There was no water station, and not even an ice machine available. The in-room coffee machine was strangely placed inside a wardrobe, forcing me to bend and stick my head inside to refill water. I hit my head multiple times. This hotel does not live up to the St. Regis name. It lacks service, cleanliness, and inclusiveness. I have already filed a formal complaint with BBB

Good location. Great line staff but I'm knocking off a full two stars due to management not allowing elites to order breakfast off the regular menu.

It's fine but disappointing. For the price you pay, you'd think the service would be more attentive. The hotel and most of the staff are very nice (especially the front desk and the bellmen) but I've had better service at "lesser" hotels. I was checked into a dirty room. Then 90 minutes after ordering room service I was told they lost my order and it would be another 30 minutes to get something. That was after I hadn't eaten much all day. I haven't left a review for a hotel in quite some time but this stay inspired me.

Overall, great hotel however, my air conditioner did not work properly and so I had to get somebody at night to come and fix it. Even the fix wasn’t great checking into a hotel of this level. I would expect the Aircounditioning to have Ben test tested and working.
