B&B Il Galleone

Das Galleone ist eine gute Wahl, praktisch gelegen im Zentrum und sogar mit (kostenpflichtiger) Parkmöglichkeit direkt in der Straße. Frühstück ist noch typisch sizilianisch, aber die Kaffeemaschine in der Küche ist ein großes Plus! Management ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit (einschl. Restaurantempfehlung).

Abbiamo deciso di prolungare di un'ulteriore notte la nostra permanenza in struttura, perché ci siamo trovati davvero bene. Oltre alla colazione al bar, consigliata la brioches e la granita al caffè con la panna, Antonella e Rosario mettono a disposizione dei loro ospiti tutto il necessario per fare colazione in appartamento. C'è il caffè espresso, il bollitore con tisane e tè, crostatine, fette biscottate, marmellate, plumcake, brioches confezionate, cereali e latte. Il forno a microonde permette di scaldare cibi e bevande. Non è consentito l'uso del piano cottura a gas, ma non è assolutamente un problema. Sono ottimi anche i prodotti per la doccia messi a disposizione degli ospiti. La strada antistante il B&B è poco trafficata e si trova parcheggio facilmente. Consigliamo di lasciare parcheggiata la macchina su strada, senza pensieri.

L'attenzione e la cura dei dettagli è ciò che renderà speciale il vostro soggiorno al B&B IL Galleone. Antonella e Rosario sono sempre molto attenti alle necessità dei loro ospiti e vi faranno sentire a casa vostra fin dal primo momento. Chiedete loro consigli sui ristoranti o sulle attività da fare a Messina e non resterete delusi. Ci siamo trovati davvero bene e vorremmo assolutamente consigliare questa sistemazione.

Het appartement is gelegen vlak bij een plein in een smalle straat waar het moeilijk parkeren is. Er is geen ontbijt in het appartement zelf, je krijgt een voucher voor aan het plein gelegen koffiezaak waar je een broche kan eten en koffie kan bestellen. Het is ons tegengevallen, maar misschien waren onze verwachtingen te hoog.

Our two night stay in Messina was a quite pleasant. B&B II Galleone is an amazingly beautiful bed & breakfast facility; clean and nicely decorated. Good location; walking distance to some attractions such as the Duomo as well as the train station. We attended a free concert at the Duomo the first night we were there; a pleasant surprise. Ample local transit, no problem getting around Messina.

Road side parking was free as it’s public holiday, have to pay the next day from 8.30 am onwards. Breakfast was at a cafe 5 mins walk away. Good to walk to the Duomo as it’s nearby or to the ferry back to mainland.

Very attentive hosts, nice and clean and a great location.
