Sofia Rose House and Cottage

Plenty of room for everyone. An ideal layout with huge living space for enjoying a meal, conversation and games with a large group. A quiet, peaceful location set between Katoomba and Leura. Very warm and well equipped.

The house was reasonably clean, but a little more attention to the cleaning of the living room and kitchen area would have been good. Better signs for the hidden cutlery drawer would help too.

Fantastic property, well located, exceptionally clean, full range of facilities and plenty of room for everyone. Beautifully designed and furnished.

If I really had to pick on something and I’m not the screen size was small by wall space standards. But that’s about it, place is great.

Big, spacious house. Nice rooms and good amenities.

Spacious and easy location

1. The layout of the house is amazing. It has large open living spaces and large dinning table space where we could all sit together to relax, chat, and eat. 2. Kitchen has everything you need for food preparation, serving, and entertaining. Including enough plates, mugs, and cutlery for everyone. It also had a number of other simple touches like plastic wrap, paper towels, hand wash etc making it feel like you were at home, and perfect for a short stay. 3. Bathrooms were spacious and clean. 4. And finally the lighting was exceptional. Every area had dimmer switches and there were strategically placed night lights so you could move around the home safely at night.

It would be a lot better if the heating was set up in zones so you can turn it on in the living space without turning it on in the bedrooms. It would also be useful to have a solid path between the house and the cottage so your feet/shoes don’t get wet, and if the hedges at the back of the house were trimmed so you can move past them without getting wet on your way to/from the cottage.
