SeaCrest Oceanfront Hotel

The property was amazing. We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio under the heaters and then fitting by the fire pit for a bit before starting our day. The staff was so kind and helpful. Especially after Booking .com messed up our reservation.

We loved the property. But we will only hook through them directly from now on. We booked through booking.com and we paid for an ocean front room but that’s not what booking .com rented with the hotel. The sea crest was very accommodating and upgraded us the best they could for booking.coms mistake. We will not book through booking.com again.

The view: That was definitely the highlight. Looking straight out at the ocean, waking up to the sound of the waves in the morning, and watching the sunset from the balcony is priceless. The room: Everything was very clean, modern, and spacious. You immediately feel at home and can tell that the hotel is well-maintained.

Sleeping comfort: As lovely as the room was, the beds were unfortunately a bit uncomfortable for our taste, which slightly marred the otherwise perfect impression.

Fangen wir mal mit dem Empfang an. Von Herzlichkeit weit entfernt. Wir bekamen ein Familienzimmer mit einem Ausblick gegen eine Wand. Daher null Tageslicht. Ein anderes Zimmer bekommen. Leider war auch dieses nicht unbedingt besser. Jetzt hatte man Blick auf geparkte Autos die auf der tiefergelegenen Terrasse direkt über uns standen. Beim Check In wurde nach der Häufigkeit der Zimmerreinigung gefragt. Als wir täglich angaben, war der Mitarbeiter schon etwas pikiert. Am nächsten Tag war dann auch wie zu erwarten keine Zimmerreinigung erfolgt. Erst nach mehrmaliger Beschwerde wurde dann doch noch gereinigt. Zum Frühstück: Das angebotene Frühstück war ok. Allerdings musste es im freien eingenommen werden auch mit Regen. Ein Frühstücksraum war nicht vorhanden. Tagsüber konnte man sich allerdings noch kostenlos Kaffee oder Tee holen, was positiv zu bewerten war. Wir würden das Hotel aufgrund des schlechten Service nicht wieder buchen.

Our room had no ocean view

It has a wonderful ocean view. And a staircase to get down to the beach. It's the furthest point north with it's own staircase to the beach. The room was big enough and very comfortable. The breakfast was good in my opinion. It was scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereals, breads (bagels, pastries), juices, milks, coffee, tea and 3 fruits. It was plenty to get the day started. It has a pool and 3 hot tubs with grass area and walkways. It really has a great resort feeling.

I didn't like that were placed in a room above the fire pits with tables and chairs and they have hanging lights right at 2nd floor level. That meant that everyone in the morning (as early as 6:30am) and all evening until 10p were talking and we could easily hear them in our room. Therefore, we had to close our balcony door all day, we couldn't hear the ocean and then at night we had light from the lights coming in our room until 10p. One morning someone turned on the outside lights at 6:30am before sunrise and our room was flooded with light. They only have shutters on the balcony sliding doors, so the light comes in really easy. After 3 nights of terrible sleep, we were changed to another room not above the fire pits and it was wonderful. We could go to sleep with the balcony door open, hear the ocean, go to bed early without the outdoor lights flooding our room and not be woken by guests getting their morning coffee. Our last 3 nights were absolutely great. My advice to anyone going here, insist on a room not above the firepits or outdoor seating area.
