Breakfast was nice

I purposefully booked this hotel so I could drop my children off at the airport at 4.30am and return to the hotel to sleep until 10am. Unfortunately I was woken up around 8am with drilling and hammering. I was told this was 'maintenance' work and offered a £25 parking fee refund.

Service is excelllent, Carlucchio’s bar, to go food, and breakfast is a perfect partnership, clean rooms, comfy bed with lots of pillow options.

Great to have a gym, it is small and busy

- location is excellent. 100% will stay again - parking super easy (pay on departure and loads of spaces) - lovely lobby with plenty of good comfy seats - great sized bedroom and bathroom was really well looked after - coffee machine in the room with pods - the pool is fab! The member of staff on the gym desk was super helpful - fresh water in the lobby was nice - turn left out of the hotel and head to the Marriott Courtyard hotel (5min walk) and sit on their rooftop bar if it's a nice sunny day and watch the planes - easy to get from the airport and into London - good breakfast choice - vending machines and a takeaway part of the restaurant - shop and McDonald's close by. Also a mini shop in the hotel.

- restaurant staff not consistent. A couple of members were running around like headless chickens trying to sort everything and everyone, but the majority not so helpful. The food wasn't the best for the price either apart from the kids menu which was good. I had the chicken escalope and it was so tough and the tomatoes were so dry and hard (I suspect they were from breakfast, which I don't mind as I know restaurants try to keep costs down, but if they aren't up to scratch don't serve). I won't eat in there when I stay again other than breakfast, which was better (but still the service was really mixed) - little things, like for tea I was a mum and toddler on my own (husband and 8yr old at Wembley), no one asked if I wanted a high chair or told me where they were located to get my own. No one asked me if I wanted a drink, in the end after after trying to get someone's attention, one of the main waiters took my order. Plates weren't cleared after until I managed to flag someone again to get my daughters pudding (preordered off the menu) and then plates were cleared. Overall it just makes eating a meal which you're paying high prices plus an automatic service charge for not the best experience, service or food.
