Red carpet in brown from foot traffic.. This place needs complete reno. But you get what you pay for.

6/7-6/8. We wanted a place near the Port Jefferson ferry, as we had an early boat to catch. The motel next to the ferry was full, and this was the next closest. Pluses: Comfortable king-size bed, refrigerator, microwave, land line, no comforter, quiet, clean, good-sized room. Minuses: Hard, lumpy floor, as if the carpet had been laid over broken concrete. The inside of the microwave had dried food residue, so we didn’t use it. No reading lamp on one bedside table, and the shade on the other was torn. The TV remote turned on the cable box but not the TV; when I turned in the TV manually, it was set to the wrong input (HDMI 2) and couldn’t be changed either by hand or the remote. The fan on the HVAC unit couldn’t be switched off Automatic, so it cycled on and off all night. No bath mat, towels rather small. The wi-fi didn’t work at first—a call to tech support (on the land line, couldn’t get a mobile signal) fixed it—but it was intermittent all evening. The bed spread, which doubled as the blanket, had numerous rips and tears in it, and reminded me of a moving van blanket. Only three rather small pillows on the bed. Overall: Adequate, not enjoyable. As a couple, we would not stay here again.

Bad ceiling, terrible carpet. Price value over hotel, too pricy. Shouldn't cost more than $60 per night.
