Pony Express Motel

We arrived at 3 for check in and no one was there and office was locked. There was a ring door bell so I rang it and she said she’d be there at 4 to check us in. We waited and at 4 there was still no one. I called the number but mailbox is full. The cleaning person told me she was at the sister hotel so we started to head that way but then saw her pull in at 4:10. We get checked in and about an hour later realize our fridge isn’t working. I go back down and she’s out walking the dog so I sit for 30 min and wait. She told me no maintenance so I’d have to wait for tomorrow. We had lots of groceries in the fridge for our 4 days and I was beyond frustrated. Her husband was with her and offered to look (doesn’t work there). Then suddenly she realizes she can give me a fridge from another room. We get that straight and go to bed early bc we had been up so early traveling. We were awoken 90 min later by a mom and young daughter whose key worked on our room! We emailed all of our concerns and she apologized and said the motel isn’t open to the public so that’s why no one is there at all times. We couldn’t make any sense of that bc clearly we were staging there and so were others.

Too expensive for the room!!!

Heater would not go off was my only issue. Dried out my sinus and I bled overnight.
