Hampton Inn & Suites Cincinnati-Mason, Ohio

We stayed in the larger room/suite and it was great, very spacious and clean. Ample towels and pillows. Beds were very comfortable. Washroom door was a little heavy to close. Pool was nice and quiet but we checked in later in the evening. Breakfast was very good. Everything was up to Hilton standards. Very pleased.

There was an odd sour smell all through the second floor hallway. Was told by the front desk associate that there was an issue with kids spilling ice on the carpets the night before. He said that it would be taken care of and by the next.morning the smell was gone.

Didn’t like it or dislike it.

Location hard to get into and out. There is a hotel being built in the same parking lot. Mechanical issue in the room with the bathroom door. That they offered to move us to another room. The amenities in the other room was empty.

Pubic hair was stuck behind the conditioner bottle that was mounted to the wall and was empty. Who knows how long it was there. Shower roof had brown spotting. Shower door was not properly mounted causing water to spray all over floor when using shower. Towels were not adequately supplied to clean up shower mess. Parking on site is inadequate. When we got back late, staff told us to park in other businesses and walk half a mile to hotel. When we tried to address issues with staff member Stephanie, our issues were diminished and no apoolgy was given. Was told that GM Lovely Chandra would follow up with us. As of now, no follow up has occurred. Book somewhere else. Not worth it.

Staff was polite.

The site states that the pool is heated and it definitely is not. That’s the whole reason we booked this hotel. The pool was freezing.

Once we were out in a room that was cleaned the room was pleasant. The beds were comfortable. The staff serving breakfast did a great job of keeping full what he had available in the back.

The first room we were placed in had not actually been cleaned, the beds had only been made. Both trash cans still had trash in them and there were key cards laying on the counter. The pool was extremely cold which was the majority of the reason we booked the stay in the first place. Also even though we had a key card that was supposed to be able to unlock the pool room, and we were trying to enter during the allowed times, the card didn't work and we had to have staff manually open the door. I don't know why they didn't replace our key card with one that worked as that would have been significantly more convenient on us instead of needing to be let in like children. The quality of the food itself during breakfast was sub par at best. The coffee tasted like it was run through a sock. The meats were bland. The eggs were a weird texture.

Very clean and we always stay here every time we go to Cincinnati
