Surf Beach Treasure Island Resort

Great stay. Great location

The pool was ice cold, the hot tub was burning your skin off hot. We talked to maintenance about it, he said they get this complaint every day & would pass it along. It was a disappointment b/c our daughter wanted to play in both - but the temperatures of pool options were so extreme you could not use either one for long. All the guests around us made similar comments about the pool & hot tub. If you want to use the pool and/or hot tub - stay somewhere else. Unit was dated, beds were bad.

Was a great stay. Location Location Location this was perfect. Perfect view, heated pool and a hot tub. What a wonderful stay for our money.

Will be coming back again, room was clean, staff is friendly and we had an ocean view.

A very nice stay. Very central to restaurants and a quick 20 min drive to downtown St. Pete. The beach is expansive and beautiful and our condo was mostly clean and quiet. Only downside was the sporadic front desk hours and definitely could tell they had not washed the tile floors before our arrival. Overall, would stay again.

We just returned from our 10th visit to Surf Beach...each a month or longer. As you can see, we love it. First there is the view. Each condo has a large balcony with table and chairs directly facing the gulf...offering perfect sunset views each night. The beach, pool, and hot tub are the perfect way to relax. They are rarely crowded. The resort staff (Valerie and her team) make sure your stay is the best. Yes the resort took damage from the hurricanes. During our stay all amenities were available. The extended pool deck, grill deck, and fence remain a work in progress, but do no detract from your stay. The entire Treasure Island community is to be commended for the speedy start of return to normal. Thank you Valerie and team for another wonderful getaway.

The view is fabulous and the condo is in a great beach location. Friendly staff and we enjoyed being in a smaller complex. In an area recently hit and recovering from hurricanes, there is still a small amount of damage but it doesn’t interfere with the stay. The unit has 2 patio doors leading to the small covered porch. We stayed in a 4th floor unit. Although you pay premium price, it is for the view (amenities within the condo are not reflective of premium prices). The management company uses a linen service, and beach/kitchen towels are in need of replacing. Bath towels are adequate but stiff and scratchy. Owners each do their decorating/updates and this unit desperately needs outdoor chairs (black mold, perhaps?) and a new stove (only half the burners will lay flat) but it does work (just not what I would find acceptable). Do not expect a premium unit other than the view, but it did suffice for our needs while visiting family in the area. No playground or amenities for small children but beach chair rental is available. The people there couldn’t have been nicer, and while it was ok there, for the high price paid I find it just a little disappointing. We enjoyed supporting local restaurants and listening to local musicians; so happy to see the area beginning to thrive after the hurricanes.

The cleanliness of our condo,was immaculate. All the staff were nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Honestly, were happy with it all.

We stayed for 19 nights in January. After checking in to another gulf front resort and discovering that the unit we were assigned had no view of the gulf we immediately searched and discovered that the Surf Beach had a unit available for our time frame, and with an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico. The unit had 2 bedrooms, though we only needed the one. We appreciated the second bathroom, and the in-unit washer and dryer. The kitchen was well equipped with what we needed for our meals. The balcony, accessible from the living room and main bedroom, was wonderful, and front row center for watching the local kite flyers launch their colorful and creative kites. The unit is showing it's age and could do with an update. A good part of the closet in the main bedroom is difficult to access, the bi-fold door cannot fully open as a night table blocks it. Our main complaint is that the housekeeping service, which we thought we had pre-arranged, didn't happen when we expected. It took a second request to get it scheduled. That said, the staff doing the service did a wonderful job.
