The receptionist was nice and spoke English fairly well. She was helpful. Upon checking in, I received a coupon for a Pisco Sour from the bar. It was potent.

4 Stars? We Have Very Different Definitions of That. The elevator set the tone immediately — dimly lit, slightly ominous, and moving with the quiet uncertainty of something that had never been serviced. I pressed 3 and hoped for the best. The room had no working AC, but the window opened! Progress. No screen, though, and it faced the roof — so I had a choice each night between overheating or whatever was living up there. I chose overheating. No regrets. Mostly. The bathroom door was decorative. It existed, it just didn't close — a bold design choice that really opens up the space, literally. The sink sat at an impressively inconvenient height on a round counter, positioned to greet you at eye level during private moments. Intimate in all the wrong ways. The room looked nothing like the photos, except for the headboard, which was exactly as advertised. The headboard is doing its best, and I respect that. The second-floor restaurant was closed off and uninviting — which, after everything, felt appropriate. I felt uncomfortable throughout my stay and would not return. This is not a 4-star hotel. A generous 2-star, maybe, if the headboard counts for something. Book elsewhere.
