Location The hotel is ideally located less than a 10-minute walk from the train station, with at least two trains per hour to Amsterdam Centraal (around a 30-minute journey on weekends). Located right in the heart of this small seaside town, just off the main beach road. The beach itself is only about a 150-metre walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, beach clubs /bars and supermarkets nearby, all within easy walking distance. There’s also a decent 420-friendly café just a couple of minutes away. Overall, it’s about as close to the sea as you can get. Room with Balcony The room was spacious and well presented, with a very large bed that was comfortable, though on the firmer side. Lighting was good for reading, and there were plenty of (local) sockets for charging devices. The bathroom was modern, clean, and had excellent water pressure, with personal toiletries included. The room also featured useful extras like a laptop-sized safe, a fridge, and a Nespresso machine. There was a small desk for working and a comfortable armchair for relaxing. The balcony was a nice addition, though the furniture could be improved—the chairs felt quite flimsy and plastic especially since hotel omit any cushions. Cleanliness was generally good, although there were a couple of issues: the balcony door had a noticeable bird mess on the window, and one of the overhead light fittings was partially hanging out (Room 214). Aside from that, the room was tidy and well maintained. Facilities Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, though it’s unsecured; performance was acceptable. At reception, you can purchase small convenience items like drinks and snacks. There’s also an attached bar and restaurant. I didn’t try the food, but breakfast appeared fairly basic and priced at €17, which felt a bit expensive for what was offered. One downside is the elevator—it’s very slow and quite cramped. It’s often quicker to take the stairs, especially as the building is only a few floors. Staff Reception staff were friendly and welcoming, but the check-in experience lacked detail. I was simply told my room number and directed to the key card for Wi-Fi information. There was zero mention of hotel services such as breakfast, dining options, or room service, and there was no in-room guide or menu. As a result, I chose to eat both dinner and breakfast elsewhere. Overall If I were to return to Zandvoort, I would definitely consider staying here again. The location is excellent and the room itself was very comfortable. One point I didn’t particularly like was the strict policy mentioned during online check-in, stating a €750 fine if cannabis is detected—even if not smoked on the premises. It felt somewhat overly restrictive given it is not smoked on premises.
