Hampton Inn by Hilton Litchfield

Everything was great except the bed was horrible. Not comfortable at all. Tried the chair in room but it didn’t recline an was even worse. We have stayed here before an always slept well, not this time!! Back sidewalk not well lit at night an my husband fell. Told clerk at front desk an he just shrugged shoulders. Husbands elbow bleeding everywhere an he gave us a small band aide!!!! Wow, just wow 😡😡

Quick stay on a long trip to Chicago, quiet, nice little area. Breakfast was the typical but fancier flavor waffles, very nicely set up.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable! We were at the end on I55 … there were ear plugs for the traffic noise. However it didn’t interfere with our sleep. The room was small but we just needed a place to sleep as we were heading home. Decent coffee and breakfast offerings. All the staff were very kind and friendly.

We made separate bookings for two consecutive nights when the app wouldn’t allow us to extend our reservation. We checked in late and the night clerk said no problem she would combine both nights into one reservation and we could stay in the same room both nights. The next morning the front desk called at 11am agitated saying they rented the room and we had to vacate immediately that the guests were there ready to check in even though check in time was 3pm. We refused and explained that the night clerk must have forgotten to combine the two nights and told us we could stay in that room both nights. They refused and threatened to call the police. We ended up hurrying out under duress at serious inconvenience and will never stay there again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS HOTEL. THE ROOM WAS DIRTY, THERE WERE HOLES IN THE BATHROOM WALLS AND WE FOUND PILLS IN THE ROOM. MANAGEMENT WAS RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE. THIS IS A POORLY MANAGED, OLD RUN DOWN HAMPTON. HILTON SHIULD DEFLAG THIS PROPERTY AND REMOVE OT FROM THE SYSTEM. WE STAY IN HILTON HOTELS OFTEN AND IT IS THE WORST HAMPTON HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN. A NIGHTMARE.

Given room furthest away from front desk even though there were few staying at the hotel that night. Pool and Sauna not available for use. Bathroom sink drain clogged up. Disappointing in light of the rate we were charged for the stay. Hampton used to be better in the past.
