Best Western Historical Inn

The pictures are deceiving. Smells like mold and mildew so strongly, it immediately stuffed my nose up. The A/C could not keep the room at the temp it was set. The room was also really dirty once you examined it closely. Black fingerprint smudges on door jams, weird black stains on lampshades, fingerprint smears on decorative wall lamp back board detail, base boards were dirty with stains, door inside was filthy and the floor was dusty in corners and you could feel crumbs through your socks. And the bed frames were made of silver pleather that were full of brown and yellow stains that could have easily been wiped off. Made me want to get cleaning supplies and go to town. On top of that, the front desk staff was pretty aggressive and dismissive. The check in process made you feel like a criminal. And I had to initial that I understood sales tax - what the what?? I will never stay there again.

For one night it was fine. The “hot” water was warm. The lady checking us in was short worded and struggled to be nice. No where I seen I would have to pay to park. They charged an additional $15 to park. Not happy about that. It was clean and clean sheets and towels. Economy breakfast.

Very clean and quiet

We booked a suite to accommodate two adults and a pet. The room condition was awful with remnants of pot outside the door entrance and actual dead roach inside the room. Floors were filthy and bathroom had mold in the corners. The odor inside the room was so awful we decided to leave the property and stay elsewhere. Very disappointed and different from the online reviews which rated cleanliness as "good" or "excellent". I suspect the suites are used for parties and such since it accommodates more guests than the standard room.

The location is great, and the staff was warmly welcoming.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and although I wanted to give it another chance, I was very disappointed and will not be returning. Several issues affected my experience. The air conditioning is incredibly noisy—like a Boeing 747 taking off. I also found a cockroach in the bathroom, which was very off-putting. The TV is outdated and desperately needs an upgrade to support streaming services like Netflix. Additionally, my room was missing the intermediate curtain, leaving me with either no curtain or a heavy blackout curtain, which completely blocked any outside light. Overall, the negatives outweighed the positives this time around.

The staff was really good. Jorge was kind.
