"Decent Hotel, But Only For a Night or Two"

Pros – good location, close to shops and restaurants, short drive to other attractions/beaches. Very nice décor. Available ($$) breakfast in lobby bistro was very good. Cons – requested a balcony when booking, didn’t get one. We booked a room for 2 adults (king bed and sofa bed in the room) for an 8-night stay. The room was rather small if intended for up to 3 people. Coffeemaker took up half the counter space in the bathroom, and there was no place to store toiletries. “Sitting area” was the sofa bed and an oversized ottoman, no table of any sort. The sofa was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I’ve ever been subjected to. A concrete slab would be just as cozy. One small throw pillow on said sofa did nothing to improve the comfort level. About 1/3 of the closet was taken up by linens/pillow for the sofa bed. Rooms are maintained every other day with full service on Day 6. This would be sufficient if the room was supplied for the number of people booked. In-room coffee was 2 regular/1 decaf with 2 sleeves of fixings: one packet of artificial sweetener, one packet of sugar, one tiny packet of powdered creamer that contained about a teaspoon of “creamer”, not even enough to change the color of the coffee. So, either 1 person drinks coffee or you’re only allowed 1 cup every other day. Thanks for your concern, but I’ll take responsibility for my caffeine intake! No complementary coffee available in the lobby but you’re welcome to purchase overpriced Starbucks at the bistro. Outdoor hot tub was monopolized by families allowing their little kids to use the hot tub as their play space. Gas firepit is a nice idea but needs to be reignited every 5-6 minutes. This hotel seems to be more business traveler oriented. It’s fine for a night or two but if you’re vacationing in the area you might want to consider an extended-stay hotel.

When booking a room for two adults I don’t know why there are only three towels and bath cloths. There should be four.
