The staff were very nice, but the property is very old and the carpet and dude chair was so stained that we couldn’t walk barefoot. They need to clean everything deeply.

As expected. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We had a good nights rest. Carpets were starting to be worn and had that slightly musty smell.

It was affordable and the breakfast was actually above average.

The top floor had a sour odor in the hall and the a/c in the hall was not working.

"I cannot recommend this hotel; advertised hot-tub that does not exist on the property."

Located on the Western side of the city within easy walking distance of a sit-down restaurant. The staff was exceptional as our immediate questions were answered promptly.

On the hotel website is a photograph of a hot-tub. For this reason alone, I reserved a room only to be told it was filled in years ago. Desk staff kindly said they have tried for five years to remove the photograph--even if true, this sounds like an incredibly weak excuse. Once in our room we discovered there was not a refrigerator; desk staff promptly brought one to our room. I did inform Desk staff that I was submitting a complaint to Booking.com for fraudulent advertising. I will not stay nor recommend this hotel to anyone.

"A decent place to stay in Jacksonville, Illinois"

Hampton Inns are consistent. You know what you are getting, which is a slightly upscale experience. The lady checking us in put us on the side of the property away from the car wash next door, which was nice.

This HI wasn't close to anything we were after, so back on the motorcycles for dinner.
