The hotel was very accommodating to our reunion of Seven friends who grew up in Clovis. We spent a lot of time catching up in the common areas and in the rooms.
The desk attendant was so friendly and kind. She was very pleasant and smiled every time we walked by. Very welcoming! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Excellent place.
We made this two-evening reservation through Trip Advisor which may have been our first mistake. At any rate, we checked in at about 4:00 in the afternoon, then because my wife became ill, checked out at 10:00 that evening. Upon checking out, I told the desk clerk the situation and she said she would take care of it, but it would not be posted until the following morning. This did not happen and when the bill came, it was for the full two night stay we had originally planned on. I called the hotel and the clerk on duty said she could not help, but I could talk to the manager. The manager was exceptionally arrogant and rude and insisted that she could do nothing and I should deal with Expedia (the company that I was routed to through Trip Advisor). I told her repeatedly that this was not a reservation issue, it was simply an error in recording our check-out time. She would not listen and became hostile. The conversation abruptly ended when she said she was terminating the call. The rooms were nice and the hotel was clean and cheery. However, the heater was not working in our room, so we were moved to a different room where the TV was not working. I did take a shower and it appeared that the hot water heater wasn't working well, either because the water was tepid. All of this was somewhat irrelevant because we were only there about six hours. This hotel has serious management issues that should be addressed by the Marriott people.
Room on first floor had no privacy, looking right out to sidewalk. The only choice was to use blackout curtains, which allowed no natural light during the daytime. Would definitely request upstairs room next to E.
Our first room had a non- functional heater. We were transfered to another room with a non- functional TV. We had reserved the room for two days, but were forced to leave the first night because of illness. We were charged for both nights. I don't know if that is the policy, but it is wrong. I explained the situation to the person at the desk and she said she would check us out in the morning. This is a nice hotel, but it does seem to have issues.
They are still in a state of renovation, so I expect that I would upgrade it too excellent once the job is done.

USThis facilities lobby was under construction, so the makeshift breakfast set up was any different conference room and it was a lot smaller than usual with money less options just a lot of muffins, bagels & cereal.
The water pressure in this hotel was absolutely terrible. We had to grab cups and rinse my daughter‘s shampoo out of her hair from the sink because the amount of water coming out of the shower Spicket was not rinsing her hair at all.
USIt was in a good location with plenty of amenities around it. Rooms were clean and staff very helpful.
