Hotel Sonnschein

lovely staff, family run hotel, and 7-8 min walk to slopes. good to have a washing machine - get tokens at reception. swimming pool great - although no clothes permitted in Sauna therefore we refrained from that! good selection of hot drinks at breakfast. great salad bar child friendly there’s couple of shops in the village and couple of bars showing sporting events.

very basic, dated accommodation - we were in the old section. dinner menu not great variety - was mainly pork - kids portions quite small eg 2 slices pizza . they didn’t have a room to accommodate family of 6 so we had to split up over two opposite rooms. (although this was fine, some families wouldn’t like this) Didn’t replenish the fresh fruit at breakfast - therefore need up early for healthy fruit. Wi-Fi wasn’t great. A hotel shuttle would be good option - plus it would be great if hotel offered transfers to airport.

Positiv: Grosses Zimmer, Lage, Personal sehr zuvorkommend, viele Möglichkeiten auch ausserhalb des Zimmers eine gute Zeit zu verbringen, es wurde immer versucht auf unsere Bedürfnisse einzugehen, Frühstück vielseitig grosse Auswahl, Skikeller mit Heizung für die Skischuhe, Negativ: ein Saunabereich Duschen defekt, es wird nicht auf die Einhaltung der Saunaregeln geachtet, aufgebackene Brötchen zum Frühstück, im Skikeller hatte sich im ganzen Raum, auch an den Sitzflächen in Skiverein rücksichtslos ausgebreitet. Im grossen und ganzen hatten wir eine schöne Woche. Vielen Dank dafür.

The room was spotlessly clean on arrival and maintained as such by the cleaning staff throughout our stay. The beds in particular were always remade with a novel twist which was great, and reminded us of stays at Disney Florida. The food this year was particularly good and the evening meals more creative than perhaps in previous years, and the whole hotel is well maintained by the staff team.

Having stayed here on many skiing holidays there is nothing I don't like

great value for money, food was really good, main meal choice was always good and the main meal was really good quality. I would only suggest a little more choice for children however but we always managed.

I liked the size of the room, the dinner was tasty, though small. It was good, that they had at least 1 vegetarian option and had plant based milk and could have freshly squeezed OJ (though very noisy) in the morning. Staff in the restaurant was professional, and speedy.

The size of the sauna is rather concerning, even though there are two. Towels were not given or placed out there. We had to ask for a bath robe, and one of them was torn apart. There could have been banana and other fruits for the breakfast. The coffee should be improved! If you want to ski in the large ski resort of Brixen im Thal (Wilden Kaiser Skiwelt), than this town is not the right one. There is a small ski area near by, but you will not get any nearer to those 270 km slops, that Wilden Kaiser Skiwelt has to offer.

Great facilities. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Walking distance to bus stop and ski lift.

To many kids in adults only area and in adults only pool. Not pleasant. There are a pool for the kids.
