The location. The balcony. The bed.

Poor breakfast + food finishes before the closing time. The spa was dull and unclean.one of the staff was rude. The heating not working when we wanted to increase the temperature. The ski heating didn't work.

Kandahar is a beautiful old alpine style hotel right in the middle of val-d'Isaire, very clean with great staff (all fluent in English) and everything is easy ...ski-lockers opposite the front door and 10 minute walk to all the big lifts

"Our favourite place to stay in Val d’Isere, every time!"

Perfect central location, yet quiet. Welcoming, kind and helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Comfortable, functional, spacious accommodation with plenty of storage and luxurious bathroom. Excellent locker room for ski equipment, boots etc.

It would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities readily available if possible. A kettle was provided on request.
