LUX* Grand Gaube

We honestly loved everything about our stay at LUX* Grand Gaube. This hotel truly gave us the luxury experience we were looking for during our honeymoon. The property itself is stunning, the atmosphere is relaxing, and everything feels very well organized and high-end. We chose the all-inclusive package, which was absolutely worth it. It included access to all the à la carte restaurants, a coffee bar, many drinks and snacks, and several complimentary activities. There were so many water activities available such as paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. Unfortunately, some activities were cancelled due to windy weather, but we still appreciated how much was included. The rooms were beautiful, the food was exceptional, and every meal felt high quality. We especially loved the à la carte restaurants, where we could have lunch and dinner. The buffet breakfast also had a huge variety and was delicious every day. The beach was perfect, with plenty of space and sunbeds, even though the hotel was fully booked. The hotel is so spacious that it never felt crowded. There was also an adults-only area, although we personally spent more time at the beach and the pools closer to our room. The organization of the hotel was excellent. Upon arrival, someone immediately helped us book all our dinner reservations for the week, which made everything very easy and stress-free. The staff throughout the hotel was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. As honeymooners, we truly felt special during our stay. The hotel really made an effort to celebrate our honeymoon with thoughtful experiences such as a romantic dinner by the pool, a romantic breakfast setup, and even a cocktail class. Since we had the all-inclusive package, we also received 6000 Mauritian Rupees to use at the spa, and this was an actual credit that could fully be used. We ended up enjoying two massages, with one almost fully covered, which was amazing and very relaxing.

Honestly, we cannot mention any real negative points about this hotel. Everything during our stay was excellent, and we truly enjoyed every moment of it.

Our stay was incredibly good, highlighted by an excellent location and the convenience of a private dock for boat trips. The hotel is a complete destination on its own; you could easily spend a week enjoying the extensive facilities, including golf, tennis, paddle, a gym, and a wellness spa. With multiple beach and pool areas to choose from, there is no shortage of ways to relax.The dining experience was a major standout, particularly for Celiacs. Chef Deepuck and the restaurant teams showed exceptional knowledge of cross-contamination and offered a wide variety of safely prepared gluten-free options—from pizza and pasta to Asian, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine. It’s a perfect choice for those seeking diverse activities and reliable, inclusive dinning.

Service in the property in some areas needs major improvements, for a hotel if this reputation and rank service it at points in the main bar, and the pool and beach area not fully attentive - with taking forever to get a drink in a main bar trying to catch a waiter and them often forgetting about the order, to the staff at the pools and beach who often ignored the call and when asked a request would send us do do it by ourselves or get it by ourselves or just saying it is not available although when we went and did it ourselves it was not a problem at all.

PIANIST Pri zajtrku!!!! Vsak dan bi moral biti. Polepšal nam je jutra. Vrhunski zajtrk, ni da ni. Krasno okolje.glasba zvečer krasna.

Plaža daleč od rajske. Voda motna, nič se ne vidi skozi tudi v plitvini. Ohlafili so nam sobo,da smo imeli not 14 stopinj in nas je zeblo. Vse je bilo vlažno, posteljnina,tla,nočne omarice. Sicer so nam za en večerr zamenjali sobo in nas dali v toplejšo,ki ni bila kot hladilnica,ampak znosna. Z selitvijo v drugo sobo in drug dan nazaj smo izgubili več ur čas- cel dan....čakanje na tehnika,da pipravi klimo,da jo ustavi,pa ni šlo. Pa spet čakanje menedžerja, pa spet tehnika...itda...to nam je poslabšalo doživetje. Slabo je tudi, da moraš v restavracijah vse rezervirati in bilo je vse rezervirano tudi za tri dni in več vnaprej.

Everything was amazing, I travel a lot and I have stayed in a few luxury hotels and this is probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in worldwide so far. The check in process was a breath of fresh air as it was a personalised check in, greeted with a welcome towel and drink. We were given the option for a tour of the property and walked to our room by the lovely Inne (sorry if I spelt that wrong). We were checked on every evening by housekeeping to see if all was well in our room.

We stayed half board it would have been nice for at least water to be complimentary for dinner. This is something I was aware of so yes it was my choice to go half board but honestly that’s the only improvement I would suggest.
