Newagen Seaside Inn

For those seeking a traditional retreat but with comfort and genuine hospitality, the Newagen offers a great option. Tucked away 7 miles out on the Atlantic and away from the crowds at nearby Boothbay Harbor, the grounds have been beautifully maintained and the hotel tastefully refurbished since our last visit a decade ago. We recommend a sunny afternoon by the saltwater pool, a scenic walk along the ocean shore, followed by an excellent dinner at the inn's restaurant.

The breakfast was great, staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff (Abby and others whose names I don’t recall but wish I could acknowledge) were incredibly helpful and welcoming! I loved our room (Fiddleheads) which was cozy, charming, clean and comfortable. It also had an attached patio, where we could enjoy the evening. We were there for the night of the lobster bake, which was excellent! We also loved the s’mores around the fire pit. We will be back.! We didn’t have a chance to partake in many of the facilities because we were only there for one night.

The location is a bit of a ride in the woods but is totally worth the experience. The property manager along with the stuff are very friendly and kind. They tried to accommodate all our needs to the best of their abilities and I couldn't ask for more. THANK YOU!

The property is beautifully located and has old time charm. Outdoor gardens and water views are great; pool is warm and relaxing; good dinner meals and great tennis and game room. The property could use however a little upgrading. Some garden games were broken and our bedroom was incredibly small for 3 people and no elevator to take bags up. We were offered help so no complaints there, but the hotel itself, interior, needs also a bit more tlc.

It was a beautiful setting overlooking the water. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The room could use a little tic with updates in the furniture, i.e., mattress and lampshades. The deck overlooking the grounds was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. It was a perfect location for driving to the Botanical Gardens which was on our list of things to do.

Absolutely stunning resort with ocean view. Staffs were amazing. I was trying to figure out the charging station for my Tesla and one staff came out to help me. Amazing experience and we will be back with family.
