The Brehon Hotel & Spa

Room was spaceous comfortable and quiet. Spa was lovely really enjoyed it. Helpful staff lovely atmosphere and facilities. Bar food was nice but a bit over priced.

Room was nice the view was nice despite being at the back of the hotel but disappointed with shower looked grotty. Breakfast choices looked amazing but the guy who ushered us in and explained things spoke very broken English with a strong accent we could barely understand and he did not tell us we could order from the menu. In fact we didn't really know what to do like how to get a cup of coffee. I had wanted the fish or eggs Benedict but ended up with buffet full Irish. The food was all very nice but it wasn't what we imagined. It was special for us because we hardly ever spend so much on a hotel and it was a special occasion. So I was disappointed. When we went to the bar for a drink early evening our entrance was blocked by a staff member who said we could go down to the basement for a drink quite rudely. We decided to go to the Gleneagle for a drink instead. After I was thinking it wasn't very nice and surely we could have had a drink in the Lobby. It was not what I expected. I realised they were serving food but there was plenty of rooming the lobby. Bar food nice but bit expensive I had beef casserole which was very tasty but mainly vegetables and very expensive really.

Lovely room with excellent facilities. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.

While an order from menu breakfast was available it wasn't presented at breakfast and while it could be ordered from you had to know about and and what was on it and ask a staff member to order it for you.

we had a wonderful stay and food was excellent staff amazing and very clean hotel. Definitely recommend.

Hard to pick something as it is so ggod all over but Carpark is noisy at night but we stayed at a very busy time. I think they should consider letting children use the pool as its adults only with correct supervision it would work i think
