Gaddis Hotel

What a beautiful hotel. Owner was fantastic, staff were so so accommodating. Would not stay in any other hotel while in luxor. Thankypu for such a fantastic experience. I know the other 22 people with us feel the same. Welldone to you all. See you all again very soon.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location, however once we checked in, we left asap because we found a cockroach in the curtains… a flying one too. We’re not picky travelers and we like to stay at economically friendly place but would not stay at a place with roaches or bed bugs. Pay a little extra to stay across the street at Pyramisa or somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this place as we couldn’t even complete our stay

After a 10-hr overnight bus ride from Cairo, we arrived at the Gaddis in the late morning and we were able to check into our room. Sandra, the receptionist was very attentive and welcoming. Our room was spacious, bright, clean, nice double bed and with a nice small balcony looking to the pool. Within a few minutes we received a tray with complementary tea and coffee and an electric kettle. We were able to have something to eat at the restaurant, served by the manager, Mohamed, and the waiter Ala, who treated us very well and tended to our every need. The next morning we had a great breakfast - delicious falafel, omelette made by chef Salah. The breakfast had good choices of tahini, yogourt, bread, etc. The service at this hotel is excellent from the front desk, to the security and cleaning staff. The hotel is about a 30-min walk to the tourist area of Luxor across from the Luxor temple. There are plenty of taxis and horse carriages along the road! The only negative at the Gaddis is the wifi. It does not reach the rooms and can only be accessed in the lobby and even there it is limited. The Gaddis is a good option in Luxor.

Mr Gaddis and his team treated our group of 8 as VIP’s from start to finish. We have never experienced this kind of service in Egypt and it made our visit very special. The hotel building is of an older style but all our rooms were freshly renovated with brand new beds and bedding. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Lunch and dinner were excellent with large portions and quality food. The bar in the hotel is unique and Mr Gaddis provided a disco one evening especially for us. We left the Gaddis feeling part of the family and this will be our home whenever we are in Luxor.

What a friendly and welcoming hotel. I visited on two occasions, one for drinks and one for dinner. The service was friendly, professional and the food was delicious. Highly recommend a night's entertainment at Gaddis Hotel.

Hotel itself is good position and walking distance to Nile River also a common pool on top of basement. Simple and traditional Egyptian Buffet Style breakfast. Check in is smooth assisted by Sandra who also provided complimentary late check out as a gesture. FnB staff is very welcoming and price is reasonable. Very comfortable bed that I prefer.

Dear manager, Amazing good hotel very good service from reception to the kitchen personel and even you the manager are very helpful and everyone extremely friendly staff, if you have a problem immediately and within 5 minutes they are at your room door to help you in every way.Just for this good service I would recommend it to everyone because you don't even get this service in a 5 star hotel I was very surprised and very satisfied and a typical Egyptian hotel you really feel at home in Egypt there!!! recommended for everyone!!! greetings mr Jansen Belgium

Business trip

At first I was a little bit surprised - refrigerator from 70-s, plumbing from 70-s and a little bit leaking. But they did not make problems. Step by step I immersed in a good old-fashioned stay - the room was comfortable, it had a balcony (where I could drink tea and coffee) with a good view to another balconies and to swimming pool. The water in the pool was cold but why not to refresh in the heat. The door of my room led to a veranda, it was pleasant to go out on the veranda in the mornings. The breakfast was good. The staff was always friendly.
