Hotel Charles-Alexandre - Par Aneyro

A small fridge in the room would of been a big benefit.

The hotel is charming. The room was comfortable and pretty. The staff was accommodating and friendly. There was a good breakfast in a pleasant room. The Charles-Alexandre is close to Avenue Cartier, the Musée des Beaux-arts, Plains of Abraham and the old city, but it is far enough away for the neighborhood to be quiet. The only drawback is there are no elevators — very European! Request a ground floor room if you aren’t up to carrying your suitcase up a winding flight of stairs.

We enjoyed our stay but didn't realize that our room was up two flights of narrow stairs. No coffee makers in the rooms, old style door keys. Breakfast was very nice. If stairs aren't your thing ask the staff before you book.

We loved this place. It’s beautiful, very clean and the owner and his staff are marvelous.

The property has lots of character and the staff are lovely. I would have appreciated a small fridge to keep beverages cold but otherwise the room is great.

Excellent location and extremely clean! Very quaint and walkable to old city as well as many restaurants/bars in the area. The breakfast was very fresh and delicious, especially the croissants! It was a bit odd that the washroom was not a closed room, just a divider and curtains. It was fine as a couple, but would feel less comfortable renting with a friend.

Very affordable and reasonably close to major attractions and numerous dining options on Cartier street. We’d stay there again.
