hot tubs were nice and the location was nice

property is tired and in need of an upgrade. does not warrant high end new zealand lodge rates

Was disappointed in the room considering the price we paid. The common area is lovely and huge and themed in mountain log cabin style. We were taken to our room which was a small chain hotel style room and dated on top of that. The bathroom was particularly tired and dated. Not all lights were working and and there was no reading light available and only 2 channels on the tv. Views were lovely and breakfast, which was included was delicious. But having stayed in a $200/ night motel a couple of days prior which was,spacious,up to date,sky movies,modern bathroom, seperate bedrooom,lots of lighting options and also had lovely views. It was super disappointing to be tucked away into a tiny room for 5x the price. Charge $500 NOT $1000.

Everything! the property was amazing and everything was perfect. The manager, Andy, was amazing and so accomodating.

Only thing I would have changed is that I would have booked more nights.

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. We only had breakfast there but it was excellent and in a beautiful setting. We played pool every night in the game room and enjoyed the hot tub after our hike. A little pricy but a very nice stay.
