1) Misleading hotel pictures: There are 2 pictures showing a lounge with ocean view. But when we arrived, we were told that pictures were for their presidential suites. There are no common hotel areas with ocean view! The ocean view lounge was one of the major reasons why we booked this hotel! But we didn't get it. 2) They charged 15 euros per person for using indoor pool! That is insane! We have been to so many 5 star hotels in Algarve as well as other cities in Portugal, this was the only hotel charges their guests for using indoor pool! 3) There was a ping pong table in the lounge, which also costs extra money to play. 4) The iron, the kettle and the hair dryer in the room are so cheap that you can hardly find in any stores. Misleading, misleading, cheap, cheap! That's the impression we got for this hotel. We paid mostly for the 'ocean view lounge' that shown in hotel pictures, the indoor pool that should be free. We didn't get those. We would have absolutely skipped this hotel if they advertised with honest information. Don't make the same mistake we did.

Writing as we come to the end of a 5 night stay. The hotel has been great and we had a nice, clean room at level 7 looking east. It is starting to get more busy now the easter weekend has arrived, but still not overcrowded. All staff we met were very friendly and attentive. Our room was serviced really quickly each day while we enjoyed the excellent breakfast, with shampoos etc. getting topped up long before any risk of running empty - a small point that you can't always take for granted some hotels. We had dinner one night in the restaurant from the snacks menu and found the quality and service excellent, with good local wine and halibut as the fish in fish and chips. We both had treatments in the Almond Tree Wellness Spa and want to thank Paula for her skills in pedicure and massage. We will mostly likely return here for another break in the future, and meanwhile recommend the hotel for its staff, location and overall quality.

The hotel and the accomodation was good, according my experience in IHG Hotels since more than 30 years. I made one very negative experience. During booking for 7 days at my computer, I confirmend 70 % cash payment and at the end of my booking 30 % using points. It shows on my screen breakfast including. When i checked in the hotel, the lobby supervisor informed me that by booking with points free breakfast is not included, although i told him that 70 % were paid cash. He ignored it and insisted on payment for breakfast 38 Euro per person. I had a long discussion with him , but he ignored even my compromise of 38 Euro in total for 2 persons. We took our breakfast every morning outside the hotel. And all other eating and drinks we took outside the hotel. I was for 20 years Spire Elite member and since 3 years Gold member

The location was great. So close to the marina. The breakfast was fantastic. Great variation. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

The beds weren’t hugely comfortable and the air con didn’t see to work.

This visit was at the start of the tourist season and to be honest the overall experience was pleasant. We were B&B basis - the breakfast is fantastic!!
