Luna Hotel Lago Maggiore Arona

Hôtel très accessible et bien situé pour la visite du lac Majeur et des environs. Beauté de la région et proximité d'une magnifique réserve naturelle. Facilité de parking en se garant directement devant son logement. Personnel extrêmement sympathique et poli ! Excellents restaurants situés à proximité immédiate de l'hôtel, pas besoin de voiture pour s'y rendre !

L'insonorisation devrait être améliorée car souvent nous avons été réveillés par des voyageurs partant entre 6 et 7 heures du matin. Le petit déjeuner n'a pas varié sur toute la semaine de notre présence et n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles !!!

We had a very disappointing stay at Luna Hotel Lago Maggiore Arona and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel. The room was cold because the air conditioning kept cooling the room and could not be switched off. We asked reception either to turn it off or increase the temperature. We were told this was not possible. We set it to 30°C, but even after more than an hour nothing improved. The room remained cold and uncomfortable. This was especially unacceptable because we were travelling with a 6-year-old child and my immunosuppressed husband after oncological treatment. A cold room in this situation is not just uncomfortable — it is a real health concern. The attitude of the staff was very disappointing. The man at reception showed no flexibility, no real wish to help and treated the situation with arrogance. No alternative room, no technical solution and no refund were offered. The hotel itself feels outdated and does not match the price at all. We paid around €300 for 2 nights, probably because of the holiday weekend, but the quality was nowhere near this level. The building and rooms feel old, the hotel is directly by the street, and overall the value for money is very poor. We had stayed in other hotels in Italy before and after this one, and nowhere else did we experience such a problem with the air conditioning or such an unhelpful attitude. The explanation that “this is normal in Italy” was simply unacceptable. In the end, we had to leave and look for another hotel. Very poor experience, especially for the price. I would not stay here again.
