Super 8 by Wyndham Lake Charles Northeast

There are a lot of oilfield workers staying there. The outside stairs were filthy (covered in mud and cigarette butts) from the workers, getting to the room. You have to pass several workers sitting outside the rooms smoking and passing large trash cans that were full sitting out in the hallway. The breakfast area was good and clean. The bed was comfortable and the air was on and cold. It had plenty of hot water in the bathroom. The chair was gold colored fabric and it was covered in black oil stains from the workers sitting on it. I would only stay again only if I had no other choice.

Room is clean and spacious. Bed is comfortable. Food choices nearby.

The ice box was very dirty there was plastic spoons and forks in the drawers in the room only 2 towels and no stopper for the bathtub hard to give a child a bath we had to call the office both nights because someone who i think must live there was having a party outside VERY LOUD after 12 on Friday night and after 11 on Saturday Nite

My stay was tiresome because the next door neighbor kept me up the first night and others was making noise the next unhappy with the people that had a stay there was because they was making noise until 4 I clock in the morning right by my window and not sitting by there own window.

The price was descent.

First the at the front desk was rude from the time I walked in the door until I said I wanted to cancel reservation due to her attitude and rudeness. I drove 4 1/2 to get the hotel. I walked in while she was having a personal conversation on the phone. I stood at the counter she never acknowledged me even though she was looking at me. Once she got off the phone she turned around and started folding towels still didn't acknowledged me. After I got her attention she said we are booked and I replied I have a reservation with early check-in. Gave her my confirmation number she found it but said I couldn't check-in early due to the fact they was short staffed with housekeeping. I said ok. My family and I really need to use the restroom cause we had just got off the highway. She told me the rest in the lobby was for employees only and not to the public. I said ma'am I have a reservation you already know this but you I can do a early check-in due the rooms not being clean yet. She told me that it's not her problem and there's a gas station down the street. So I told her you know what just cancel my reservation my family and I won't be staying here. She said she cancel it but I would still be charged the full price of the hotel because I was supposed to cancel 24 hrs in advance.

Coffee pot was not cleaned after previous guest. The floor was filthy. After I cleaned the coffee maker, I spilled water on the floor. When I used a tower to dry it, the towel was black from the dirt on the floor. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone did not work. I went to get ice and a man was sleeping on the floor in the ice machine room. When we first arrived, a couple was parked in front of our room, windows down with very loud music and smoking what my friend identified as a controlled substance. I am very disappointed that Booking.com even had this property listed!

For a property a Wyndham property this was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. People smoking marijuana right outside our door that I had with my grandkids. The floor is covered in linoleum but underneath it was rotten. When you stepped you almost thought you were going into the floor below. The towels in the bathroom were loose. And generally oh I know what it was breakfast the next morning the first piece of bread I picked up was moldy Blue mold. I talked to them at the front desk they shook their shoulders they did not understand English supposedly. Stay two nights but only stayed for a total of 26 hours. Very unsafe for families. Watch your kids and watch food they put out. They have a lot of people that are staying there permanently smoking marijuana. They even said that to me. I would not recommend this Windham site
