Continental Inn

It was ok for one night but is in desperate need of upgrades. The sheets were nice but poor pillows. Breakfast was ok. Price is reflective of overall condition.

It's tough finding affordable lodging this time of year anywhere near Mackinac Island, but Continental Inn is good enough. The good: Breakfast! Juice and water in the fridge, along with one of those make-your-own-waffle machines. Plenty of coffee to go around too. The breakfast room appears to have been recently redone. The room was clean, the TV worked, the A/C worked (but only cools the back bedroom). Everything else worked as expected (like the shower). The bad: The pool looks nice but wasn't open due to maintenance issues for the whole stay. There's no elevator to rooms on the second floor. Neither good nor bad: Cheboygan is pretty clearly a working town, and I suspect that some of the people staying here are here for the long-term, working close by. So lots of people sit outside the room and listen to various programs, or just smoke and talk. They're fine. The owners clearly care about the hotel and guest experience, which goes a long way. It doesn't compare to any hotel built in the last... 30... years (although it's getting there), but... it's also half the price.

The check in was easy with plenty of parking space. The complementary breakfast was good. The room was average, the air conditioning didn’t work as expected. Bathtub had mold.

We stayed here because we were going to do the Shipwreck tour. Tour got cancelled but our room and stay was still nice along with the breakfast.

Super overpriced. Nothing like pictures. Felt like a crack motel. Some sort of animal feces in the room. Advertised as a completely different room and when we got there we were given a very different room that cost way more than we were told.

There wasn't anything about my stay here I liked. The rooms were old and musty smelling. The bathroom had mold in the corners in the shower. The chair was full of stains and dirty. For the price I paid it was ridiculous.
