AC Hotel Algeciras by Marriott

Very good, modern hotel.

Despite few requests, hotel refused to arrange special meal for few Muslim guests during Ramadan. Request was as simple as to have earlier breakfast or even small sandwich in the room at 5.00am before we fast. Would have expected Marriot to be more internationally adaptable for different cultures, religions and customers needs

For business stay, above averge. no room service during day time, and break fest was poor. Very pleased with room, big bath tube and nice view to the port.

The staff was excellent and attentive. And the hotel was very clean and stylish. The rooms were also very attractive. And the price was very good. The only downsides to my stay were that: (a) the air conditioner did not work or was turned off for the winter. Regardless my room was warm (b) it was a non-smoking room but it smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The smoke smell was everywhere in the room

Hotel is nice. Clean and modern. Dining room needs some help. First night the waitress was great. Second night different waitress, different story. She seemed overwhelmed and we had trouble getting her attention to order. Other issues as well

Typical superb Marriot....great breakfast. They broke their own rules a bit to accommodate our odd schedule.

Very nice clean comfortable hotel. Close to Gibraltar. Friendly staff

Front desk staff was great! We actually changed rooms so we could have a larger bed - which was a good thing because the first room's bathroom wasn't fully cleaned. Not the greatest area but close to the port, which is what we were looking for in the hotel.

OK for the location. stayed overnight so did not experience much.

Great spacious and modern room very comfortable, nice buffet breakfast and very helpful staff. Location is great just one block from downtown walking and fine dining area.
