AC Hotel by Marriott Alicante

I have stayed at the AC Hotels by Marriott in Alicante several times because it is generally a clean, modern hotel in an excellent location — just a 15-minute walk from the city centre, marina, and beach. Unfortunately, I was bitterly disappointed on this most recent stay for two significant reasons. Upon returning to the hotel after a day out, I found my room door left ajar, with the security bolts extended in a way that prevented the door from closing properly. I can only assume this was done by hotel staff. There were no staff members visible on our floor at the time. When I politely reported the incident to the reception desk, the lack of interest or concern from the staff was very disappointing. They showed no urgency, and gave no assurance that this would be investigated. I did however receive what felt like a reluctant ‘sorry’. Thankfully, all of our belongings were intact, but that is not the point. As a guest, I expect the hotel to take the security of my room seriously. Marriott has let me down on this occasion. I will no longer be able to recommend this particular hotel to friends and family, which is a real shame given my previous positive experiences. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews their procedures around room access and staff training on guest security concerns.

Bed bugs and mould staff not nice and aggressive when I spoke in English but when I replied in fluent aoainiah they became very intimidating

Det låg relativt lang unna sentrum. Med rundt 30 min gåing. Men alle har jo egentlig godt av det.
