A very disappointing stay, as whilst it was ideally placed for our ongoing journey into Scotland, the place on arrival looked very tired and in need of some much needed garden maintenance. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly though. Inside you can see it must have been a former travelodge but it’s in need of some TLC and redecoration, the corridors smelt stale in places but overall the room was clean and basic and the bed comfortable, would I choose to stay again? No.

Overpriced for the quality of the hotel and also that you had to pay £5 for parking in their own grounds on top of the room price, the carpark seemed very small and tightly spaced with little space to move around.

The room was large, but no twin room and the double bed was not king size!

The bathroom was not properly cleaned, the lady in the reception reacted quickly to clean it up!
