Si Como No Resort, Spa and Wildlife Refuge

Loved the central location to La Fortuna and area activities. Loved the feeling of being in the jungle

Good location

The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were not given the type of room we had booked. We were given a room with two king size beds which left no room to move around or for the usual seating area. Very tiny closet area. The hotel was apparently full so we were not switched to another room for two days. The room we were eventually given was satisfactory but the room and bathroom needs updating. Road noise and intermittent sewer smell throughout the resort. Lack of shade around the pools. Beds were comfortable. Food was good in both restaurants. Views are fabulous. Monkeys roaming the resort were great entertainment.

This property is amazing! We were impressed when we first walked into the open lobby to see the hills, trees, pool, and ocean. It is truly a beautiful and peaceful property. The staff is professional and very friendly. We've already decided to return to Si Como this fall. Thank you for creating this incredible get away!

Only one problem - no water in room to wash with- the water completely shut down twice. Once in the morning in middle of showers. The response was quick and fixed both times but no one likes soap in their eyes they can’t wash out. They only gave us a small discount off extras for the inconvenience which should have been a bit more. None the less we would definitely return and recommend because everything else was wonderful. The property is beautiful!

We booked a 2 night stay. Our initial reception was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and gave lots of information about the resort. We were escorted to our room and the luggage taken for us. The features were clearly explained. At all times the staff were very courteous & couldn’t do enough to help. We had dinner both evenings which, again, was excellent. The location is fantastic with amazing views. All in all, the best experience we had in Costa Rica.

Many steps to room

No Hot water for 24 hours - hotel repeatedly said it was being fixed (did get a credit on food bill …eventually ) buildings are tired and dated … staff are exhausted.. work hard and long hours .. food for dinner very poor .. breakfast OK and omelette cooked to order included in price …description says National park is ten mins walk .. it’s not and you can’t walk it ..road is too busy .. it’s a ten minute drive .. no access to beach .. hotel is on busy road .. roads at front of hotel will be very noisy.. my room had a balcony with a nice view ..On check in the receptionist repeatedly bent back my passport and totally ruined it breaking the spine of the passport. Even when I told him to stop he didn’t and he didn’t apologise. It’s a new passport which I’ll need to replace and I’m worried I won’t get through border control .. never experienced that before
