Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club

Per valutare questo posto è necessario dividere la parte estetica da quella reale . Arrivati alla struttura l'impatto è indiscutibile sul piano della bellezza. Dentro è indubbiamente datato e curato ma non di mio gusto (la moquette ovunque - a volte sporca di erba per me non è igienicamente adatta). Dalla reception alle camere è un vero labirinto, tra sale da attraversare, piani da scendere e corridoi da girare ho rischiato di perdermi. Personale a volte gentile (vedi momento colazione) a volte freddo e maleducato (non replicavano nemmeno al saluto nell'area welness / piscina). Colazione ottima e abbondante e diversificata con proposte anche vegetariane . Camere pulite e in ordine ma niente di che. Le aspettative (vedendo l'esterno forse) erano troppo alte. Bello il parco e il fatto che sia tutto immerso nel verde e molto silenzioso. Posizione strategia per Edimburgo

In bagno non c'era un misero bicchiere per mettere lo spazzolino. Mancava lo scopettino per il wc. Lavandino con muffa abbastanza importante sotto il silicone (inaccettabile). Il tubo della vasca/ doccia perdeva e schizzava acqua ovunque. Un faretto in bagno non funzionava. Piccole cose che potrebbero migliorare la percezione di un interno curato come l'esterno. Come detto prima a volte il personale sembrava squadrarti e ignorarti . Ci sarebbero due spazi per cenare ma devi per forza prenotare. Abbiamo desistito perché volevamo farci una doccia prima di cena e non sapevamo se bastasse il tempo. Le camere hanno problemi di insonorizzazione. Sentivo il vicino russare 😬

Vous pouvez vous rendre a Edinburgh en bus de l'entrée du portail mais si vous y allez en voiture installer l 'application:JustPark ou un autre car c'est compliqué de trouver une place... Prévoyez du temps pour une ronde de golf.

Vlakbij Edinburgh is dit hotel een prima uitvalsbasis om de stad te bezoeken. Ruim opgezet, nette kamers en ook faciliteiten zoals een zwembad, cocktailbar en restaurants. Ook voor niet golfers een prima accommodatie.

Niet echt wat… alleen hadden wij wat moeite om de kamers te vinden. Beetje doolhof.

The surroundings are absolutely stunning. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. And the hotel itself looks beautiful. The beds were lovely and the bedroom itself was clean and roomy. The second room that is.....

The accommodation unfortunately did not meet our expectations. In the first room we found a distinct smell and we think that originated from the mouldy bathroom. Obviously, mould tends to grow in bathrooms, but there really was a lot of it... really not good. The front desk solved the problem quickly for us by giving us a different room. There was no mould there, so that was good. The breakfast buffet was not really elaborate. It doesn't have to be, but also the food tasted pretty bland. Perhaps this was because the expectations are a bit higher because of the surroundings and the amount of money paid for the stay. We enjoyed our stay, but I have to say that it did not meet our expectations.
