"Glasgow hostel"

The staff were helpful, and the hostel is conveniently located near Charing Cross station.

I only stayed for two nights and faced a few issues. I requested a bottom bunk a month before my check-in date, but they still didn't assign me one. I also had to keep going back to reception for annoying issues, like my door key card stopping work and being given the wrong Wi-Fi password. My advice is that if you have another hostel option, choose it. But if not, this place is fine for a short stay.

Chambre tout simplement minable et pitoyable. Chambre double avec salle de bain privative. Aucune déco, moquette sale et élimée, murs sales, mauvaise isolation phonique - on entendles bruits des rues et du couloir, lit de très mauvaise qualité et inconfortable, wifi lent et anémique

Les rideaux pour l’intimité dans les lits en dortoir

Il n’y a même pas de bouilloire a disposition pour faire un thé ou des nouilles. Il faut payer pour avoir de l’eau chaude ! Je trouve cela vraiment pas correct... Les toilettes et la douche sont dans la même pièce dans les dortoir. Vraiment pas pratique ...

Price was much more reasonable compared to prices in surrounding areas in central Glasgow. Location was also great

No blinds in the room (apparently they were in the wash?) which made it really difficult to sleep early or stay up earlier in the morning during summer. Although beds had individual blinds, they did not cover the side facing the window for the bunk beds next to the window. Lockers were also somewhat narrow.

Staff were welcoming, very helpful and reassuring. Quiet environment, I shared 4-bed dormitory with friendly Australians, no concerns. Accommodation, bed, shower clean and comfortable. Felt safe as a solo traveller. Special thank you for the female night staff for empathetic reassuarrance and care. Good selection of leaflets by the reception. I booked myself for a guided walk around Glasgow town centre, great experience. Will come back to Glasgow one day..x
