What a magical escape. it truly feels like a French château tucked away in the New Jersey countryside. From the moment you arrive, the ambiance transports you somewhere in Europe — elegant, serene, and full of charm. I loved everything about my stay: the hot and cold plunge facilities, the beautiful grounds, the thoughtfully designed rooms, and the wonderful owner who makes the experience feel so personal. I’ve attended both a private networking dinner and a retreat here, and each was absolutely amazing — curated with intention and care. If you’re looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway that blends nature, relaxation, and community, Perfect place to stay for a weekend!

Excellent stay

No greeting. Just..."Checking in or checking out?" I was traveling alone after a 15 year breakup and the first question was, "Where was my significant other?" What a stupid question to ask anyone. How about, "How was your trip in?" He couldn't find my reservation on his phone and I stood there upset from the partner question. Then scolded about what a luxury Inn it was when I made a face seeing my bathroom was not connected to my room but in an open area where other guests passed by. Zero effort to be welcoming or friendly. Horrible bathroom with loud creaking hinges, tiny shower, no conditioner and sandpaper towels. The room was pleasant but the shades on six windows didn't close enough to make it dark. The smoke alarm was missing. There was a stairway you could hear loudly while in bed with guests climbing up and down and the upstairs floors all creaked and was annoying. Host told me to use the front door though the parking was way around the back so he said I could use a common room entrance. When asked about the front door code, he said to look it up on my confirmation paper work. I've stayed in hundreds of luxury properties in my 66 years and this Inn in my opinion is not luxury or worth the money.

What a find! We were already staying at another local B & B but it was disappointing and not really what we wanted. We started searching around and discovered Chimney Hill. We drove over to check it out and we were in heaven! I think the main building was built in the late 1800's......the owners took a year to remodel and bring it up to code. If you like history, then this is the place to stay. Each room is different. Remodeling was done with such character. Vincent greeted us and took us around to look at the rooms and the property. He showed us the chickens (great eggs for the morning breakfast) and the alpacas, which had arrived just the month before. The property was serene, peaceful and lovely. And it's only a few minutes from New Hope and Lambertville. We chose Room #6, ground floor which was very spacious and comfortable. Our bathroom was a short walk outside our room but it was for us only. It was not a problem. Breakfasts were wonderful. Lesya was very kind, warm and hospitable. It was like we were welcomed into their home! A sauna and cold plunge were available. Decor was warm and comfortable and very tastefully done. If you want peace and quiet - STAY HERE! Chimney Hill is a lovely, lovely place.

Such an amazing place. So restful and accommodating. We plan to return and visit the alpaca’s and chickens. As well as make it to movie night. Such a beautiful place.

We arrived and the check-in couldn’t have been any easier. The room was great and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a real wood fire in the common living room and it was just the two of us so we felt like we owned the whole house. The entire house was very clean and neat. My only suggestion is to put Keurig coffee makers in the individual rooms. We will definitely be back.

Most everything but definately the cleanliness, staff and decor.

The breakfast was nit availabl4 until 8 and staff werent even on premise when other guest were up early. Which lead us to not understanding the coffee machine (should come with directions) no staff to ask or breakfast to be had. Something could be left out overnight even if continental. Also tub in my bathroom shoot waters water out of tub. Also their needs to be a table their for guest to put their toiletries.

This a beautifully-restored 200 year old property that has been modernized with both care and style. It’s 8 acres of property with lots of space for relaxing outdoors. We loved the breakfast and the staff. We will absolutely return to this peaceful property.

Absolutely gorgeous venue. Stunning!!! Literally, a perfect escape with several unique room choices/accommodations…excellent and very friendly staff! Highly recommend!
