Mykonos Lolita, A Grecotel Resort to Live

Mykonos Star is exactly what I had hoped for. The photos on the Expedia website are a very accurate representation of the hotel. I arrived there late in the evening, had a great night sleep and the next morning I woke up to the most stunning views of the sea, which is visible from every part of the hotel. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a small fridge that I found very useful especially if you do not want to eat every meal at the hotel restaurant. The food was great though and reasonably priced for Mykonos. The restaurant is on a balcony above the sea and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. This is the perfect hotel if you want to relax and re-charge. It is off the beaten track...really! There are no buses to town or shops nearby. The hotel offers lifts to Chora (capital) as requested for a fee but you need to get a taxi back. If you want to explore the island I would strongly recommend hiring a car. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was everything I hoped for.

We loved the Mykonos Star!! It is just a beautiful villa--I think it is probably the prettiest hotel on the island from what I saw on hotels.com. The infinity pool is really nice and the food was great, even though a little pricey. The service was also fantastic! I lost my camera earlier and the desk clerk bent over backwards trying to retrieve it for me. The only thing that may need to be considered is the location. It's not located within the town--maybe about 5 miles away, so it might be better for those who are interested in beaches rather than shopping and nightlife. It's a beautiful location though and the private beach below the hotel is also very pretty and convenient. We rented a car so it was the perfect place for us!

Perfect place to stay if you don't mind renting a car to see other parts of the island. Gorgeous grounds, great staff and a beautiful beach which you can sometimes have all to yourself!

It's simply a good place to stay if you're after a quieter spot. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are kept nice and clean. Good views over the bay.

This is a beautiful hotel located in the north side of the Island. Nice beaches around even thought is a little bit far from the town. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Overall, we had a great stay at Mykonos star. Some of the standout elements included: (1) the charming, semi-private beach right down the steps from the hotel, (2) the hotel restaurant (cooked the chicken dishes to perfection), and (3) the family-owned atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. The only downside was that it was a 15 minute drive between the hotel and Mykonos Town, coupled with the lack of cabs (there are only 31 cabs on the island) and cab drivers dislike of driving to the Agios Stosis area, made us not want to go into town. Therefore, I would suggest that you rent a car or arrange some kind of car service option with the hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and views ! We chose this hotel so we were away from the party life of Mykonos and it was perfect for that. Definitely have to have a car or scooter to get to and from here but I would suggest that anyway for the island . Food at the restaurant in the hotel was delicious as well. Breakfast could have been a little better . Overall lovely, staff very welcoming!

We loved our room and the staff was accommodating. The views were amazing and we loved that it wasn't overly crowded and was very private.

Our stay at the Mykonos Star was fantastic. George picked us up from the airport which is around a 10-15 minute drive away. The hotel is very close to Agios Sostis beach and then has its own private beach and infinity pool. The views from the rooms are amazing and the rooms themselves are nicely decorated. We had two huge king size beds, great air con and a nice outside space to have some drinks/eat on. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel and it even extends to the beach - though sometimes best to switch off! The hotels location is probably it's biggest pro and biggest con depending on what you are looking for. It's such a relaxing location though is relatively far away from the town. We hired a car for a few days given that there aren't many taxis in Mykonos but George did provide us with a taxi number and offered us lifts when he was available into the town/beach parties. The cost into town was always between 15€ and 30€. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast and the Veranda restaurant had a great selection of lunches/dinner options. Nadia in the restaurant was particularly friendly as was George. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!
