Residence Inn by Marriott Saratoga Springs

The hotel is very quiet which we appreciated. No noisy kids in hallways. We liked the fitness center. Located in a nice quiet area of saratoga, only 3 minute drive to downtown. Great staff. Ample parking.

The bed was not very comfortable. The noisy heating/cooling system in our room, it was quite annoying. At bedtime we would have to turn it off. The hot tub jets were not working. I specifically called ahead to confirm pool & hot tub were in working order and we were quite disappointed about that.

Mostly great place to stay. The pullout couch/mattress was terrible. Thin, beat, uncomfortable. Room was very clean. Great water pressure. Regular bed was very good with nice pillows. Hotel itself looked very clean. Nice grounds. Good walking trail nearby. Decent kitchenette. Biggest complaint was the chlorine smell from the pool in the whole downstairs. If that wasn’t so powerful, I’d probably give 5stars.

Better breakfast offerings for celiacs than most chain hotels. Easy direct route to downtown. Still a little cheap on water bottles. Gave us one for two of us. We stopped at three springs on the way downtown. Front desk was very helpful and friendly.

Conveniently located. Predictable quality.

Expensive $$$. Understandable during racing season.

Property was close to attractions, clean and safe

The property was fine—clean and easy to find.

What I didn’t like was that they had no reservation for me from booking.com. I don’t know where things went wrong, but the hotel staff was lovely and accommodated us with a room. However, we paid booking.com for a king-sized suite, but because the hotel had none left to offer, we settled for a smaller unit. Booking.com owes me some sort of compensation.
