"Basic but adequate, good value for area"

6.0

Our apartment was perfectly adequate, but by no means luxurious. The condition of our private rooms was fairly good, but some of the public areas need attention (e.g. carpets in corridors, decking around pool). The benefits are a good location (although quite a long walk to the beach - bicycles are ideal), plenty of parking, lots of room for the money, fairly well equipped kitchen. The staff were helpful and spoke some English, but this is quite a 'French' resort. Le Touquet is an expensive destination so don't expect too much at the prices charged for these appartments.

"Cost effective base for Le Touquet"

8.0

Its a good cost effective option for an expensive area. The pool area is perfect for family, not much else to do at the complex, no bar or restaurant. It's a great base and close enough to everything.

"Great if on a budget."

6.0

You can't expect much from this Hotel. My friends, and I stayed for 1 week and for our age (19) it was acceptable. The positives are that the beds are very clean but that's where the cleanliness stops. There was a massive patch of growing mold in the room and the smell of damp was dreadful but being students we're used to all this. If you can't speak french then rule out trying to have a conversation with any of the staff. The pool looked nice but was broken for the entire week, however we did receive a refund equivalent to 1 nights stay. The hot water seems to have a mind of its own and is only reliable if you take a shower in the early afternoon. Boiling kettles of water for baths became very normal during our stay. The position of the hotels is excellent though and the surrounding area is really good for walks. If you're young and on a budget then this hotel is great but I can't see it working for families.

"Not up to P&V standards, no hot water for 2 days"

4.0

Currently on 2nd day. No hot water today, none tomorrow as no-one on reception after 7. No international tv, no free wi-fi, tennis court but €10/hr, small pool but no woggles/balls/floats/fun allowed. Smelly drain from shower (cold of course). A tired hotel. Very hard beds.

"Good"

2.0

Room smelt of drains, overflowing ashtray as you enter the hotel reception, rude and unhelpful receptionist who made our children cry, stained carpet in the corridors, missing plunger off the toilet, stained toilet brush on full view, broken cracked laminate worktop, dead plants in the reception area, hot water ran out, room safe was locked and not available for use.

"great location"

10.0

this was our second visit to Les jardins. We stayed for a couple of nights as part of a shopping trip to France. Le touquet is perfect for walking and getting fresh air, to make up for the stress of shopping. The hotel is perfect as it gives the choice of self catering or eating out.

"A little tired but the kids loved it. NB. No bar"

8.0

The welcome was effcient, room was clean but carpet and decoration has seen better days. Poll was clean and well maintained although not as warm stated. The reception is only manned at certain times and the bar is no more than a large room with some tables in although there is an area that might be setup to serve drinks during the summer. It should also be noted that it's is queit a long way into the centre of Le Touquet. Our 2 boys had a great time in the pool and playing in the grounds, there are some very nice restrants in town (best to book the popular ones) and the area is very nice. We'll be going back.

"Enjoyable stay in a lovely area"

10.0

Very good self-catering hotel apartment. Reception staff were friendly. The beds were made up (apart from the sofabed in the lounge of course, where there was a pack of freshly laundered bed linen provided). We found 4 packs of towels in the bathroom. The only adverse comment I would make on the towels was that despite being very clean the eco-friendly washing powder used leaves an unpleasant residual smell. There was no proper oven, although there was a microwave with an internal grill. The hob was ceramic electric. Adequate provision of pans and a fryingpan. The kettle provided was a travel kettle, only big enough to provide 2 mugs of tea. An electric coffee maker was there, but no filters. We were disappointed to find that there was no "bar" as mentioned in the hotel description. My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our two grandchildren aged13 and 9. Please be aware that the swimming pool and children's games area close at 7pm. If you have been out for the day (as we had) this doesn't give much downtime, especially as the tv only has French channels (difficult if you don't speak French). We arrived on a Sunday afternoon expecting all shops to be closed as per French custom but were pleasantly surprised to find a small supermarket open which was about a 20 minute walk away from the hotel, also one or two bars. Our main reason for staying at this hotel was because we were going to the Bagatelle amusement park. It was a fairly short, easy drive to the amusement park. We found the park great fun for all the family, although on the day we went all the local French schoolchildren seemed to be there on day outings! Another point is that although mention is made in the details of the hotel that there may be local taxes to pay we think there should be some rough guide as to the amount which may be liable. In the event we only had to pay 3.20 euros on leaving, but then we were only there for 2 nights. Obviously a longer stay would incur a higher charge. Apart from these minor points we had a good stay and would use the hotel again.
