Baymont by Wyndham Houston North

They say they have a shuttle but after an hour of calling last night , I had to take a $100 ride to get there. I then asked the desk clerk about today. She said they only had 6AM and 6:30 AM! I then booked an Uber another $26. Lo and behold this morning at 11 a shuttle was there. Do NOT book this hotel the rooms smell and things are falling apart.

The airport shuttle has to be booked a day in advance. We stayed due to a last minute flight cancellation so got a taxi to the airport as the shuttle wasn’t available. This wasn’t made clear on the website. The lock to our room didn’t work. The room smelt of mold and actually had visible mold on the ceiling. However the staff were pleasant and good to deal with.

You can clearly tell that they are trying to update the property but there are some areas that are lacking. The front desk ladies are amazing! Helpful, courteous and always smiling when I saw them. The room, although I believe it was one was updated, still needs some work. The phone in the room didn't work, the lock on the door was broken, the hair dryer was also broken as was the elevator and the side entrance didn't lock. I didn't try the breakfast that was available but heard it was meager. The room was clean and smelled good. Other rooms were being worked on and the hallways were dirty. The place has great potential but still needs some work. I would suggest that a manager walk through the rooms and check to see if things are in working order.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. We got to the hotel at 1:45. Before we could even talk to anyone, the lady at the front desk said “check in is at 3.” No problem, we sat in the lobby to wait for our hotel. While waiting, we saw at least two crackheads roaming the hotel. While waiting, my son needed to use the bathroom. We were told both bathrooms were out of order. At 2:30, i went To the desk to ask if our room was close to being ready. She told me she didn’t know when my room would be ready or if it would even be ready at 3. We finally got our room around 3. The room was so disgusting & dirty. The website states there’s a free shuttle to and from the airport. Shuttle never came. False advertisement. Ice machine & elevator have been broken for over a year. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. Absolutely awful.

This has to be the absolute worst hotel I have EVER stayed at!!!!!!!!!!! It started off with the website claiming to have a 24 hour shuttle from the airport and I even called to verify that that was accurate since I was arriving late at night. When I called for the shuttle, no one answered the phone. After several attempts during the next hour still no answer. I was forced to spend money on a rental car. When I arrived, the front desk person stated that the shuttle stopped at 6pm!! I checked in and went to my room only to find out that the air conditioner didn't work. I returned to the desk and she found me another room. The air conditioner worked but that was the only positive. The room was DISGUSTING!!!!!! Dirty, greasy, ratty furniture everywhere. The floor was sticky and nasty. It honestly looked like a homeless encampment!! I went to take a shower and the water was spraying all over the place EXCEPT through the showerhead!!!!! I have stayed in Baymonts and several other Wyndham properties and they have all been pretty good. This is an embarrassment to the Wyndham name and, again, in all the years I have been traveling, the absolute WORST hotel I have EVER stayed in!!!!!!!!!

Place stunk. The staff pretended they had no idea.

Pictures on the website are fake. This is a smelly run down old mold infested hotel. Should be condemned. We did not stay we turned in keys immediately and booked a room elsewhere. Wasted our money on a non-refundable booking. NEVER AGAIN!!!! BEWARE OF FALSE INTERNET PICTURES POSTED FOR HOUSTON HOTELS!

I attempted to contact property to get picked up by shuttle at airport and the calls were not going thru. So I took Lyft to hotel and the front doors were locked and signed said that the hotel is closed
