Kalyves Beach Hotel

The best part of the stay was definitely the friendliness of the staff—they were welcoming and helpful throughout. Very good value for money also and it’s nice that the hotel offer a different activity to entertain the guests every night.

I would say this hotel is a good option for families who have a car, as it is quite far from Chania Airport and the public transport connections between the two are not very convenient. Taxis are also relatively expensive. I travelled with a friend, and we felt a bit out of place, as the hotel is clearly geared towards families with children. Also it’s worth noting that the quality of the food and drinks is fairly average, and the facilities feel a bit outdated. That said, considering the price we paid, it was still a very decent option overall. The town of Kalyves, where the hotel is located, doesn’t offer much in terms of attractions, and the hotel’s beach is not particularly spectacular. Still, if you are travelling as a family and plan to rent a car, this can be a good, affordable choice. Otherwise, I would recommend looking for accommodation elsewhere.

Kameralny hotel położony w spokojnej okolicy, przy samej plaży. Na plaży darmowe leżaki i parasole. Obok hotelu rzeka, która dodawała uroku, zwłaszcza jedząc posiłki na zewnątrz. Jedzenie bardzo smaczne, różnorodne. Zwłaszcza regionalne. Obsługa bardzo miła. Sprawne wi-fi.

Pomiędzy pokojami były drzwi. Były zamknięte, ale wszystko było słychać. Pokoje słabo wygłuszone.

Lovely friendly staff made us feel very welcome and the restaurant manager Theodore is very helpful. The all inclusive food was delicious and the hotel has a great relaxed feel. Beach and swimming areas super.

This hotel was a fantastic find, very relaxed with efficient and friendly staff, very clean with a great varied food buffet served three times a day. It’s lovely for families with children’s entertainment and the evening entertainment is very good quality. We stayed a week and then extended for a further 4 nights as it was so relaxing. There is a river next to the outside dining area which comes straight down from the mountains and has ducks, fish, swallows and swifts. Infront of the hotel there is a lovely beach and the sea is safe and clear to swim in.
