"Sweet and sour"

Sweet and Sour. My wife and I stayed at Room 225 29th May to 12 June. It was lovely room at the back of the hotel, nice and quiet, overlooking the terrace. For the first week we really enjoyed our stay, and on the Wednesday 3 June on my wife's birthday we went over to Isola Bella. On our return to the hotel however , we discovered that 150 euros had gone missing from the room safe. For about an hour I checked and double checked my finances but the numbers didn't add up. I concluded that either someone had used a Master key to open the safe or I had not locked it properly I asked reception for the manager and was told that only she had a key and that this was a family hotel and that no way this could have happened. I contacted the Tui rep who said that it was up to us whether we contacted the police As we didn't have any proof as to who would have taken it we thought it would be pointless to call them. However. we were annoyed that the manager didn't even have the courtesy to speak to us. We felt that she didn't believe us. To have money taken from our room is an abuse of trust and for someone to enter our room and be a light fingered opportunist is not acceptable
