The Surfside Hotel

I love the access to the beach and to convince of the restaurant downstairs.

The property was one step to beach and this is wonderful thing.

This quaint and quirky little hotel is right on a little spit of beach on the Long Island Soung. Free use of bikes, paddle boards, kayaks and yoga for guests! It's quiet and a fun place to explore for a few days.

The photos on the website don't tell the entire story, if you will, so when our room on the first floor (which we liked) had an enclosed concrete patio, it was not what I expected. The patio furniture could use refreshing, and more thoughtful attention to the interior furniture placement would be nice.

A relaxing environment. Everything was enjoyable including the deck with a variety of food options. We had some great servers.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Plan on staying more days next time. The front desk girl was exceptionally nice. Very pleasant stay, so relaxing. Looking forward to my future stay

Surfside is truly a gem!! Such a laid back beach vibe…the water views are incredible, the place is immaculate, and we found every single person we encountered (working in both the hotel and restaurant) to be incredibly friendly. Food and drinks were great, and the entire establishment is decorated in calming colors and decor. They have everything you need right on site-chairs, paddle boards, beach towels, water refill stations, even a coffee room with free coffee, tea, fruit and granola bars….and view! Can’t wait to return. Also worth noting that it’s an easy 12 minute drive to Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater.

I LOVED my stay. I took my daughter for a quick over night stay, and was blown away. We were steps away from the ocean, we got to swim, read on the beach, search for shells during the day. We had a snack at the Little Pub that afternoon and it was delicious. I love how the outside bar is facing the water, you really feel like you’re on vacation. At night we went next door for seafood, and it was wonderful (Reilys). That evening we took a bike ride (bikes provided) and went for homemade ice cream at the local market, then went sight seeing up the sea wall. The next morning we walked across the street and had the most amazing coffee from the coffee cart while swinging and looking at the ocean. I left so relaxed and really enjoyed the room. I look forward to returning and making this a tradition.

This property is fabulous. Staff is amazing. The area is great. Sea view room is spectacular. The hotel is clean. I’d stay again and again.
