Great room, amazing views out to sea and of albufeira, hotel in need of some tlc etc but the staff more than made up for it

Was perfect location for friends catch up. We wanted to be near things but not in the middle of the action. Loungers were available whenever we needed, friendly staff, great breakfast and easy short walk into town (10mins or so). One of the best massage I have had for a while in the spa too. While the decor is a little dated, it is typical of its time but was always spotless and pleasant. The only complaint I had was that the "Deluxe" room I had (301) while large, was hidden away at the side of the hotel. It had 2 small balconies but only got sun at the end of the day. It did have sea views. All in all was a great choice and exactly what we were looking for. Will certainly be back

Good location to beach, Marina and old town. Good breakfast. Overall would stay again

The breakfast was the exact same for 15 days straight. Zero creativity, and old antiquated hotel with very poor beds.

Minimal furniture, the towel hocks can’t support the towel and the toilet seat was broken. But location and views were stunning.

Situated fabulous area everthing you need on your door step, top restaurants and bars and a stones throw to the lively centre. Accommodation and breakfast are good, staff very friendly and helpful, but for me my balcony and views priceless.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Maybe it was in 1960 when it opened. It took 3 room changes to even get a place inhabitable. The good..... Great view, good location and breakfast. The lady at the front desk was great. The bad.....UNCOMFORTABLE BED, AC that cooled but not enough, pool chairs that were worn out and almost unable to be sat on. They CHARGED to use the mini fridge and the safe. That is unacceptable We spend 3 weeks in 7 hotels in Portugal and Spain. All 4 star. This isn't even close. There are better places to stay. I would never come back here and I am easy to please.

Given the circumstances this year with Covid 19 i was lucky to get a holiday. The hotel was not what i was expecting, very different to the photos, the room was dated but was clean. Services were limited which i assume is down to Covid.

The hotel overall is outdated but kept clean, and the staff are ok, but it is definitely not up to a 4* standard. I had upgraded to an executive room, which it was not, the bed was firm and uncomfortable, the air conditioning did not work (which we reported to reception but nothing was done), there was spuradic smells of sewage coming from the bathroom, no in-room tea/coffee facilities, TV didn’t work very well, you had to pay €2.50 per day to use the safe and €2.50 per day to use the fridge. The only saving grace for the room was the outstanding view from the balcony. The rest of the hotel was ok, swimming pool and breakfast are both decent. We liked the location being quite quiet and inbetween the Old Town and harbour. If this was graded as a 3* hotel, I would have reviewed it more positively. I would never stay here again.

Location perfect (away from noisy centre), my friend booked us rooms on 5th floor and they were fabulous . Steps down to and up from the blue gate challenging, but lift to beach a godsend, and when it wasn’t working early Sunday, someone came to fix it the same day.
