"All I would expect of a Scottish Castle room"

Lovely large room with chandeliers, rugs and trimmings I would expect in a scottish castle. Separate bathroom well appointed. Staff were friendly. Nice view from room and surrounding gardens lovely and rural. Restaurant meal was lovely and right up there as a favourite meal for our trip. Parking was handy. No lift so expect to carry bags upstairs.

"Cold noisy and overpriced "

I hope we were in the worst room in the hotel (no 1). It had 2 connecting doors outside and as well as the banging from these, they also caused our door to rattle. The room was freezing and the central heating didn’t turn on. We have stayed in much better hotels this year which cost half as much.

The staff was very nice and very helpful and flexible as our son was not feeling well. They helped us with laundry last minute and very accomodating. Highly recommend.
