Grand Hotel Tritone

I love every minute of staying in this hotel. I see lots of hotel in my life and even work in 5 star properties. But this hotel is a true gem, it’s the place where you want to come again and bring all your family and friends just to share that amazing experience with the loved ones. It’s the type of hotel where people come in generations with rich history but feels very modern. Food was a true Italian masterpiece, breakfast exceptional, everything was so delicious. The beach and the way to water so cinematic. The room cleaning and amenities are on high level of standard. The people who work there are truly love this hotel and make the every way possible for you to feel welcome and happy and 0 stress. After living in a big city this hotel tells like I connecting to nature and myself again. We take a short trip to Positano 15 minutes on water taxi which is just an amazing way to see the stunning views from water. Our stay at the Grand Hotel Tritone in Praiano was pure magic. First, the hotel itself is simply breathtaking. Perched on a cliffside between Positano and Amalfi, it offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean that feel like something out of a dream. To access the private beach, you can take more than 400 steps carved into the rock—or opt for a series of charming old-school elevators that descend through the mountain itself. Just that journey from the cliff to the sea feels like an adventure out of mythology. Second, the location is ideal for exploring the Amalfi Coast. From the hotel’s beach, you can easily take taxi boats to Positano, Amalfi, or nearby coves—skipping the road traffic entirely and enjoying the coastline from the water, just as it should be. Third, the food was simply divine. We dined at all three of the hotel’s restaurants: the elegant main terrace with its sweeping views, the relaxed bistro tucked behind the bar, and the beachside restaurant nestled right on the rocks. Every meal was fresh, local, and full of soul, especially the pizza caprese, which was one of the best we’ve ever had. Honestly, the food here surpassed everything we tasted in both Positano and Amalfi. And to top it all off, the entire experience felt straight out of The Odyssey. With Triton statues watching over the property, the cliffside architecture, and the sparkling blue below, it was like stepping into a myth—where time slows down, the senses awaken, and the world above disappears. We left with full hearts, sun-kissed skin, and a longing to return.

You can feel his vision in every corner—from the harmony with nature to the thoughtful details that make the hotel feel both grand and deeply personal. The Gagliano family honors their father’s dream by sharing the treasures of this extraordinary place with the world- turning his vision of hospitality into an experience that touches everyone who visits. It’s not just a place to stay, but a place full of heart, history, and imagination. Every detail of our visit was infused with warmth and intention. The entire GHT team made us feel not like guests, but like family. Their hospitality was genuine and full of grace—an extension of the love and legacy that built this place. We feel blessed every time we spend time at this amazing family run hotel in Priano. It is never any less special or majestic when we visit, and it’s beautiful to share the experience with our 3 children who also love it here. Whilst the views and facilities are 1st class it’s the warmth of the staff that really set GHT apart. We intend on visiting regularly, god willing, and look fwd to those moments, whilst we cherish the memories made. Thx u to Salvatore and the entire team! God bless.

The room I booked wasn’t available, so instead of telling me when I checked in and asking me if I would be ok with the room I was getting, they just did it without saying anything. Once I got to my room I realized this wasn’t what I booked. I went back to the front desk to ask about it and they offered me 2 other rooms to switch to, one was a huge downgrade and another which was an upgrade but I would be charged an extra 250 euros a night. For a hotel that is charging me $1,300 a night you would expect better treatment and service. I should not have to pay for the upgrade if the room I booked wasn’t available. Then on the first night staying in my room apparently the power went out which caused the AC to turn off while we were sleeping. My pregnant wife woke up hot in the middle of the night to 2 phone rings from our room. She then called the front desk and spoke to someone who couldn’t understand what she was saying. After I woke up a few hours later I went to the front desk to complain about the AC not working and the 2 rings that woke us up and I was told that the power went out and when it comes back on it automatically causes the phone to ring, and the breaker needed to be reset for the AC to turn on. Nothing was offered or done for this inconvenience. At check-out I noticed a charge of 12 euros and 50 euros that I asked about. I was told the 12 was for allowing me to borrow a cork screw and the 50 was for a bottle of sunscreen. Absolutely ridiculous! Never again!

The panoramic view! The location - close enough to Positano & Amalfi to go there easily, but far enough away to escape the crowds. Each member of staff was helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had fabulous meals in the restaurant.

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and all I can say is wow! Everything about this hotel is perfect! All the staff here made our trip so relaxing and stress-free. We arranged a private transfer from Naples airport which was smooth and on time. We were then greeted at the hotel with a welcome drink on the terrace and a room upgrade... the room had the most stunning views of the sea and Praiano, and the room itself was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Every detail has been thought through here - definitely the most well managed and clean hotel I've ever been to! The breakfast was delicious, the bars and cocktails amazing, and our favourite part of the hotel was the private beach club. It's beautiful - so serene and feels very exclusive! We had lunch down there pretty much every day as it was so good, and being able to get private water transfers from the dock to Praiano and Positano was so convenient and fun! Special thanks to Paulo at the beach bar for making us some amazing cocktails everyday and being super friendly - as well as all the other staff at the beach club. We had the best honeymoon here, and can't wait to return in the future!!
