Fergus Club Carema Splash

Hotellet skriver att de har Air Conditioning, men det är mestadels en lögn. Maskinerna finns där, men de bara låter och svalkar ingenting. Ingenting! Vi såg snart att de rutinerade gästerna kände till detta och lät dörrar och fönster stå öppna för att draget skulle svalka. Anläggningens WiFi går inte att lita på. Poolen under normal standard, för liten och för grund även under lågsäsong. Splash parken inte värd något extra, jag skulle aldrig betala inträde till något som ger 4 sekunders åkturer och där anläggningen stängs utan kompensation efter att barn bajsat i vattnet. Frukosten var okej, men som tidigare recensenter skrivit: kaffet kan vara det sämsta vi någonsin druckit. Det är på gränsen till hälsofarligt, då det smakar som att maskinerna aldrig rengjorts. Gå till glassbaren bredvid och betala för kaffet istället. Utsikten är fin, om ni betalar extra för havsutsikt. Området är väldigt kuperat, så räkna med att bära ert bagage upp och ned för många trappor. Restaurangerna är ok. Gäster närmare områdets centrum får via ljudet ta del av nöjesliv och höga volymer, sent på natten.

Very pleasant views of bay. Splash park great for slides and pirate bucket. Accommodation blends in like a small village, 3 storeys with apartment on each floor; sunny balconies. Fun stuff like kids disco, other good outdoor on-stage entertainment. Tasty grill restaurant indoor and outdoor. Good ice cream. Bad bacon. Very friendly staff. Several long phone calls required to get Expedia to make a change, but not caused by hotel.

Camera club resort, our room was very dated which was disappointing as the pictures showed more modern room. We arrived late at night and were not told properly where our room was and found it by chance up a steep hill!. The food was good for an all inclusive hotel. It had a splash park which was the best thing about the hotel. The weather was great which always helps and we had car hire for the week which meant we were able to explore the island, as without the car it would have been a bit boring for us and the kids as there was nothing near by to do. Menorca is a much quieter island than Majorca or Ibiza.

The hotel facilities are excellent for family's with a great children's water park. We went in the school Easter Holidays. Unfortunately we didn't realise that this is out of season for Menorca. So the onsite supermarket was closed. We had breakfast buffet included in our stay which was excellent, with a good variety. Unfortunately as we were not all inclusive we found it very difficult to buy anything else such as drinks, snacks and ice-creams. They wouldn't serve drinks to paying customers at the pool bar and was told we would have to walk across the road to the restaurant also owned by the hotel to buy drinks and ice-creams and then carry them back over to the pool area. This restaurant was also the only place available to get evening meals. As this restaurant had a very limited menu we found another small restaurant further up the road from the hotel which was very nice, with very friendly people running it. Unfortunately there wasn't any entertainment during the evening after the kids club had finished and with the hotel being very remote a hire car is a must. I'm sure during the peak months this would be different.

Overral the hotel is fantastic! Dont stay before may because its freezing at night and the heating through the air con system in our room does not work.

Hotel reception tired, run down and shabby in parts. Staff good (especially at reception) other areas don't seem too bothered (apart from pool bar). Very spread out resort, very hilly and steep in places so a pain to drag cases up hills and stairs (no assistance). Arrived to no running water in room, so asked to be moved to another and incurred a charge to do so. Second room better, refurbished but poorly done. Just generally tatty for a room that we were the first guests to use since the refurb. No electricity in room, kept shorting which was found to be caused by a water tank. So waiting around while a new one was installed! Cheap laminate flooring not fitted properly which was loose and a trip hazard. Awful intermittent sewage smell from bathroom. Buffet restaurant more like a school canteen - food varied, ok - but barely warm. A/I not value for money. Pool areas clean and well maintained. Rooms cleaned daily.

Good experience. Didn't feel like a 4* hotel. Have previously stayed in 4* hotel and can tell the difference. As my daughter loved the experience of the splash park will revisit in the future.

Really nice hotel, close to the park entrance. Clean and friendly with no major complaints. Pretty much exactly what we signed up for.

Good all in one resort - multiple swimming pools, right on one beach, with short walk to another less crowded beach. Offers all inclusive or b&b (maybe other meal plans too) - with large main buffet restaurant, bar serving food, plus grill outdoor restaurant. The food was very good and reasonably priced (eur18 pp for evening meal all you can eat including wine/beer). Also offered Scuba diving, tennis court, children's water park area, supermarket - all on one site. Right by bus stop for 10min trip to Fornells (or Eur8 for a taxi) which has a handful of restaurants (incl 1 fine dinning one).

Ok. Shows and minidisco need improvements, look like improvised in some cases. to be more proffesional, Also the aquapark swimming pool needs repairs. Great Buffet. Ideal location. Relax for grown ups and fun for kids
