"Another wonderful stay."

10.0

Thank you for a most wonderful stay once again. We decided to stay again as we really enjoyed our stay last year & this time it was our honeymoon! Every member of staff were friendly & genuinely kind. From the chap that delivers our baggage, maintenance guys, maids, reception, gardeners & even the man that collects the laundry. We got a wave & a Kalimera everyday. I love you all & miss you already. Also a special thanks to lovely Marina in reservations who organised my request to perfection. Please pass on my regards. We were throughly spoilt by all. Please also pass on my kind regards to Chris in the restaurant. Thank you again. Best wishes Davina Blake MBE

"A good choice in Paphos."

10.0

We hadn't visited this part of Cyprus before staying at Kefalos Beach Hotel recently, but had read some of the mixed reviews here though we tried to visit with an open mind and although we can now appreciate some of the concerns, we were pleasantly surprised and found our stay rewarding. Generally, we prefer smaller hotels and wondered if Kefalos Beach would be too big for us, but we now realise that some of the other Paphos hotels are far larger in comparison, therefore we were pleased with our choice. We were delighted with the location in a quieter part of Paphos. We enjoyed the gardens/lawned areas which were more peaceful places for sunbathing rather than being cramped around the pool area. We used the main pool and the indoor pool both of which were fine, but our favourite beach for swimming was Venue beach, only about 15 mins walk north of the hotel on the paved walkway. Heading south on this same walkway, you reach the harbour area in approximately 30 mins, but we found this whole walkway particularly enjoyable for an evening stroll. Some previous reviews mention the loud music from the Pool bar and the weddings that take place and we can understand these thoughts because on arrival we were assigned a room directly overlooking the pool and after 3 nights we asked if we could be moved to a different room. Pambos on reception and his female assistant (sorry we didn’t get her name), were both understanding and immediately tried to find us a quieter room. They were at pains to find a room of the same category that we had booked, which didn’t worry us too much because all we wanted was a more peaceful experience. I realise that this might not have been possible at the height of season, but we were soon found another room (552) which was much quieter and suited us perfectly. Both of the one-bedroom apartments were spacious with comfortable beds and a bath/shower. We stayed on a B&B basis but sampled the food in both the bar and the restaurant which was fine. Breakfast was a bit repetitive, but there was plenty of choice with lots on offer so it was impossible to starve! The hotel was well served by public transport from Kings Tomb bus station a 10 – 15 min walk away. We took buses to Polis and Latchi, both worthy of a visit to a smaller town and a low-key coastal resort – walking on the Akamas peninsular was a highlight too. There are definitely more ‘Pros than Cons’ to staying at this medium sized hotel which has lots of facilities and we would happily return again. The greatest asset though for this hotel is the staff – cleaners, catering / waiting staff, gardeners, maintenance and the receptionists – all of whom work very hard.

"Wonderful birthday treat"

10.0

Just had a wonderful week in Cyprus ( first time ever ) we choose this premises as pot luck and what a week we had , everything from the apartment we ended up with to the facilities and food was excellent, be it we only did B&B so we wasn't tied down to staying around the place all day, the food was excellent and we had a good fill so only had to worry about evening meal , staff couldn't do enough for you, and I went there for my retirement birthday which no one knew about except for the card my wife gave me in the morning, however on returning from the beach we had a lovely surprise left in the apartment from the management when they discovered this and also in the alacarte restaurant we booked for our birthday meal they did a little surprise for me there , can't wait to go back again, fantastic place, I had read some reviews about scrambling for sunbeds by the pool !!! This place also provides them close to the beach which we preferred, got no interest in getting up at stupid o'clock to put a towel on !!!! Just a small tip for anyone going to stay self catering and who likes their tea/ coffee, bring your own mugs because cups supplied are thimble size

"Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert- super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!"

8.0
